  2. Overall the array dies when your motherboard dies. I'm not 100% sure how this works with FreeNAS. Personally I bought a LSI 9240-8i from Ebay, that's what I would recommend for this kinda setup. Giving the fact that you'd have about 15 TB of storage that could become unusable when the mobo dies. The extra 100 - 150 dollars isn't that much compared to the drives. My guess would be go for a RAID controller from Ebay, nothing wrong with mine! Also LSI is a very respected player. Oh by the way, instead of FreeNAS I'd say go for Windows Home Server 2011 or even Server 2012 essentials if you'd like to play around with an Active Directory Domain Service functioning computer (server). This isn't hard at all and makes you feel like you're a genius, at least for me.. Windows Home Server 2011 does not has that particulair functionality but it does give you an awesome web interface that everyone that can use Facebook, this forum and Windows understands!
  3. Boys and girls, I need some help, from someone even more clever than me! So I got this home server running WHS2K11 storing all my family's files. I'd like them and me to be able to access them trough a variety af devices, easily. So this, brings me to the protocol, WebDAV. I haven't yet succeeded to set this up on my machine. The reason for WebDAV is the integration of Windows accounts which allows the users to be in control of their passwords. So, if there's anyone arround here willing to help a fellow pc lover setting up WebDAV, please send me a PM. Have a good day
  4. It's not about fitting, it's about being compatible. I'll take a look at the H320, Swiftecht right?
  5. Found the compatibility sheet on the product page for the Kraken X60 and it states that the 800D does not support the X60 in the top. What do you think guys (and girls). Will it be compatible with a 750D? Trying to found a way to spend my money.. Any other suggestions are welcome too, I'm looking for another case an AIO water cooler.
  6. I love the sticker since it's a nice white contrast to the mostly black/red colors inside the case. I might try my other windowed side panel for a few days, it could be nice.
  7. https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/58826-600t-update-3/ I previously did it with stock H100i fans, I think these SP120's look soooo much better!
  8. Thanks man it's appreciated, by the way it's an H55 and I love the looks of it too
  9. Pure RoG Perfection ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My PC's time kept going wrong altough it's on almost 24/7, so since I was not able to find the reason I decided to give replacing the CMOS battery with my old from my Sabertooth. I didn't thought it could be the battery since the PC's always on but still, I decided to give it a shot. This gave me the perfect opportunity to create kind of a build log. Hope you ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls enjoy this and let me know what you think about it! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The fortifier actually is pretty light, but it definitely feels rugged and premium. I love it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The ROG armor feels just like nice plastic, which it is.., but I think it looks very very cool, even compared to the Sabertooth Z77 which I previously owned this is a huuuge improvement! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Taking a closer look under the hood, without the shield it looks nothing special in my opinion (except for the nice red colored PCI-e slots). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Installing le Corsair Hydro H55 which is cheap and looks so much better than the H100i, which I owned, and does the job very good for it's price. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *PICTURE OF ME INSTALLING LE CENTRAL PROCESSING UNIT* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Something I learned from the build log featured on Corsairs site once.. Probably the coolest thing you can do with 3- and 4-pin cables! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Installing le Corsair Dominator Platinumszz 2133MHz which I'm a total fanboy over and I'm completely in love with and can't wait till I get a second kit so I can populate those 4 dimms! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Now only the GPU and the lighting... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Time for some GHETTO solutions! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Beauty shots: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Don't Forget Letting Me Know What You Think 'Bout My Build
  10. Thanks man! Thanks mate, so black 24-pin and 6-pin PCI-e sleeved extensions would be better than red? I was going to switch to red... Maybe red 24-pin and black PCI-e... Let me know what you think?
  11. Thanks, me too dude altough I dig the 770, 780 and Titan much more!
  12. Vinyl Totally agree, thanks
  13. Thanks mate Thanks! I am hoping to do some custom watercooling with this in the future OR 2-way SLI using GTX 770's from EVGA (reference design of course) SLI'd together with their PRO SLI bridge, should look pretty damn cool and perform as good as it looks I guess
  14. This is the second time I updated my computer. I build this originally with a Sabertooth Z77 and no GPU, after a few months I've put this 7870 from XFX in it. Now I've updated it with the Maximus VI Formula from ASUS and I think it looks pretty damn cool. ------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------- Thanks for viewing
