  1. Thanks for the help - I've just fixed the issue. My windows 10 is installed on an SSD - all I had to do was to boot the pc without the SSD connected (essentially un-installing the drive) and it automatically booted from the disk. Thanks again!
  2. Okay, here's the deal. I switch on my PC and after seeing the option to enter BIOS for a few seconds, I instantly get this blue screen error message with the error code: "0xc000000e". The error screen asks me to use "recovery media". I've done quite a bit of searching around (several hours worth) and the answer does indeed seem to be using recovery media - which is what it tells me to do on the error screen. I've got a windows 8 64-bit install disk, and I'm trying to use that. HOWEVER, here's the problem - I can't get into the BIOS. I've inserted the disk, and now I want to boot from the disk to use the windows repair tool, but no matter how many times I mash "delete" or "f11" in the bios entry screen, nothing happens. These are the right keys - there are on-screen prompts. Unfortunately, It seems that my keyboard isn't responding, so I can't get into the bios, can't boot from the disk, and can't fix my computer. I've tried this with two separate keyboards, both of which yield the same results. I've also tried plugging them into every single USB port on my computer, to no avail. Please help, guys. Any suggestions would be much appreciated Regards, - Chris
  3. How about this - Two 970s and one 980t Ti cost about the same - $1000. Which one do you think would be better overall? 2x 970s or a single 980 Ti? I'm thinking long term here. Thanks guys
  4. Thanks - I want a Nvidia card because of Shaodwplay and GeForce Experience software, and frankly I don't know anything about the AMD cards. And also unfortunately I don't have access to the zotac 980, I want to purchase the parts physically from a store, and I can't buy it Thanks for the reply!
  5. Hey! So I'm planning on building a PC! It'll be used for heavy gaming, heavy web browsing (e.g 30+ tabs open) and occasionally video editing (hence the 16GB of ram). with the following specs: CPU: Intel 4790K GPU: Gigabyte 980 Gaming G1 OR Gigabyte 970 Gaming G1 (depending on costs) CPU COOLER: Corsair H105 MOBO: MSI Z97S Krait Edition ATX Motherboard RAM: 16 gigs of whatever at 1600MHz SSD: Kingston HyperX 120GB HDD: Western Digital Caviar Green 3TB 3.5" 5400RPM CASE: Phanteks Enthoo Pro Full Tower OPTICAL DRIVE: any cheap $20 thing. POWER SUPPLY: Depends on whether or not I get the 970 or the 980. Probably 750W or 850W, since I'm planning to go SLI sometime in the future So, there we are. I live in Australia and everything is way more expensive over here - the build will probably end up costing around $2200. Also, I'm planning to get a 1080p monitor, but with a card like the 970/980 do you think it's worth spending the extra money for a 1440p monitor? I'm basically asking for you guys' opinions - do you think there's anything I should change, are there any compatibility issues? Should I try overclocking with this configuration? I'm posting this to (hopefully) get expert opinions on the build. Thanks in advance for any replies! - BizzarreFr0g
  6. Hi! My Vessel username is: BizzarreFr0g I've watched and liked the LG ultrawide monitor video - https://www.vessel.com/videos/G-DUjgUyY I've also watched and liked the Titan X review... pretty funny - https://www.vessel.com/videos/HDN7G5UMs
  7. This rig will be used for a lot of gaming, maybe some light video and photo editing. I don't really plan to overclock unless I have to, I don't really mind what brands, although I'd much rather have a Nvidia card instead of an AMD one, simply because of shadowplay, and the green colour scheme on the Nvidia cards. I don't mind water or air cooling, whatever you think is needed. I don't need it to be super quiet, either, since I'm going to be using headphones.
  8. I like the Corsair 250D the best so far, because it has windows. What would you guys recommend for the parts and such? I have a budget of anything under $2000. Planning to play on 1080p 144Hz monitor. Thanks
  9. Okay, guys! I need the smallest case possible, but it has to fit at LEAST a GTX 970 (probably the MSI G1 gamig version, or the Asus STRIX) and it MUST have a window, cause, you know. Computers are pretty. So far, I'm considering a Corsair Carbide AIR 240 case. Is it good? Any opinions or recommendations? Any advice on what parts to use? I plan to use a 1080p 144Hz monitor. Thanks in advance
