  8. Hey all. I'm sure there are atleast a few car DIYers in here so i thought i would ask I have a honda da integra (1990) and it has no central locking, and no power windows. I plan to add these things as well as hard wiring a dashcam, adding an extra power socket and a small amp and sub in the boot (250w rms). Now i don't want to run an 8gauge for the amp and sub, then several 16 gauge wires into the engine bay for the central lockimg, power windows, dashcam and power socket So i thought i would just run a massive 4 gauge and distribute it. My problem is how would distribute this? I know how to solder wires and will definitely add fuses and relays where i need them so i don't need help there.

What do you mean by counter sinking them? So i do insulate them? Will old pillows or insulation used for houses work?

    Speaker box

Hello all. I'm in need of knowledge again. So i had a spare computer powersupply, headunit and 2 6.5" car speakers and want to put it into a box so i can listen to music in the garage. I have already started by soldering the green cable into a ground and cutting off all the excess cable so i am up to making the box. Now i have no idea what to do with the box in terms of sealed vs ported or filling it with insulation or not. The speakers are some sony xplod 40w rms 6.5" and would like to get as much bass as i can without it distorting too much. What would be the best configuration? sealed or ported? stufffed or not? Can i use a pillow to stuff it? Should i wrap it in carpet afterwards? I plan to make it about the size of a mid tower case if not smaller.
  15. Are the m6p good? it will cost me a total of $35 to get shipped to australia from amazon. Are the 3 buttons wired for iOS use or android?
  16. OK Thanks guys. I just wanted it plugged in because it is always in the back of my head and it bothers me knowing it's not plugged in. I guess i'll just suck it up.
  17. I got a new case (corsair 500r) and i can't seem to find a place for the firewire 1394 header! The only matching ones i can find is USB2.0 but i read somewhere that they are wired differently and shouldnt be plugged in there. The Motherboard is an MSI h77mag43.
