  1. I play a ton of Apex, CSGO. So trying to reach that 144hz mark is always a thing. CSGO no probs, but Apex is the one I'm trying to squeeze more frames out of. But I'm like 90% sure it's coming down to Zen 2 because it would greatly help my workflow.
  2. Thanks for your fast input! I know it's a pretty close race, but in some games seeing a 10fps difference is a lot when your trying to milk everything out of your system.
  3. First post since 2013? Anyways, I'm upgrading my system soon because it's that time and would love your opinions. It's come down to either the 9900k or the 3900x. I know the price difference is huge, but let's take into consideration a hypothetical price adjustment from Intel to even the playing field. Current System: 5820k 2080TI 32 GB 3440x1440 I'm an Art Director by trade and could 100% use the extra cores in Premiere/AE from Zen 2, but I also want to maximize the frames I get with ultrawide resolution. We've seen the benchmarks for normal 1440p, but not ultrawide. Thoughts?
  4. FC4, GTA V. My Fury X I have no tears through everything though.
  5. I don't think you understood what I said. The FPS was fine. But I was having STUTTER issues. I didn't want stuttering, so I returned them. Simple as that.
  6. It's impossible to even get one Fury X right now, let alone dos. I'm in the market for a single card solution currently (another $1500 going into my sleeve).
  7. There's no doubt the Fury X is a great 4K card, but every benchmark I've seen it loses at 1440p, which is what I'm running. I have the money, so why not get the better solution? Also, I'm just asking a question here. I'm not going to just run out and buy something right away.
  8. I mean with Vsync capped at 144fps, would that be silky smooth enough, thus not needing Gsync?
  9. I can return it to Newegg, but dont they have a dumb restocking fee? And then on top of that, a Gsync monitor of the same caliber would be around $800 or something, right?
  10. How noticeable is screen tearing on an 144hz monitor (no gsync) with say..a 980ti? Because I'm in a pickle. I bought the Asus MG279Q (144hz, freesync optional) originally for the release of the Fury X. Well seeing the Fury X isn't performing that great at 1440p, I think the better card for me at the moment would be the 980ti. If I keep the Asus monitor and run 144hz, do you think I would honestly need gsync? I've heard the tearing is less noticeable at 144hz. Or should I just stick it out with the underwhelming Fury X? Also, I'm not a fanboy of any kind, I just like supporting whomever has the right solution for me.
  11. I sold my SLI 970 WFs because of a stutter issue @ 1440p. Your call.
  12. Didnt know that was a thing. Updated.
  13. Hey dewds. My MG279Q is only showing up to 120Hz, not 144Hz. (/w using DP/M-DP). I don't have Freesync enabled. Tried creating some custom profiles in Custom Resolution Utility, but none of them are showing up either. Any ideas? Lets keep the spam posts down please.
  14. Are the problems fixed with this monitor? Didn't they recall them last month because the monitor was dropping the 6th frame or something?
  15. Are these monitors fixed yet? I remember reading something last month about the monitor dropping the 6th frame or something.. If we're good to go, I want to buy this.
