  6. Hello, I need some advise my system is water cooled, a few months ago I had a leak which killed my GTX 590 I didn't really care cause I was upgrading to GTX 970sli. So I replaced the graphics card when I went to power on the system nothing happened so I took it back a part that's when I noticed water under the CPU socket I cried 64GB memory, 4960x on a Asus P9X79 Deluxe. I let it dry out for a few days before putting it back together It worked fine at normal clocks, I tested it with prime95 and fury mark ran it for a couple of hours no problem at all, but as soon as i try to over clock the CPU only by just a 100mhz my system locks up if it will boot, I tried adding more volts to the CPU, I dont want to make things worst, I know its not the memory so how can I tell if its the board or CPU I don't have an extra board or CPU laying around. thanks
  7. It's very strange, I was missing around with it today with the boot strap and got it up to 4.9ghz. it was fine no problem but when I adjust the turbo clock it windows crash.
  8. thanks for your reply, I was hoping I could solve this, may-be some thing I overlooked....

  10. My motherboard is a Asus X79 pro and the cpu I have is the 4930k and yes I did overclock before it was fine @4.7 with out any problems

  12. I just noticed you said windows 10, with some of the earlier versions there are strange problem I'm currently running version 10130.....you my want to try windows 8
  13. that's strange, may be theres a compatibility issue or setting, usually the option to load optimized setting is on the exit page were you save the changes you made to the bios
  14. Hello friends, I'm having a small issue with my current PC, a few months ago a tube began leaking and soaked the motherboard and graphics card. When this came to my attention I unplugged my computer. Long story cut short I waited a few day for everything to dry, the graphic card didn't make so I went out and got two Gtx 970's I was lucky system booted right up....the problem I cant over clock at all, if I change the setting from anything but auto windows cash giving me an error I don't remember what the code is but it related to overclocking. my question is what to do besides overclocking my system runs perfect, I on the x79 chipset I know its to late in the game to replace x79 parts, should I move to x99 or wait for the next cpu like skylake-E or something Help.
  15. try loading bios optimized settings, also if you have an over clock try setting it back to normal clock speeds and see dose that make a difference, I had a board that was fine till I tried to over clock it.....
