  1. Was 32c here today. Great day to get a tan on, not so good for snow
  2. True, If you enjoy it then go for it. But there is a million other people out there doing the exact same thing so your going to have to stand out somehow, usually that's by undercutting on price, hence the low profit margin. Or you can do some modding. All said and done it's really a quite annoying game to get into and even once you do sell a fair amount of systems it's still hard to get people to trust you as a builder
  3. Meh, the profit margin is that low that it's not worth the effort at all. Unless your doing some hefty mods, In which case you can earn a fair amount of profit, though the demand is much lower
  4. DeathAdder 2013 is a near perfect mouse imo. If it had DPI toggle switches I'ld go back to it, it's kinda a deal breaker for me. Though my time using it I've been the most accurate with shots that I've ever been
  5. Oh look, It's this thread again..... But hybrid grip here, mainly fingertip but I rest the very front of my palm but only on my ring/pinky finger side of the hand on the rear of the mouse and claw it if I need to take time to make long range shots in slower paced games like DayZ.
  6. I know, but they still don't OC massive amounts more than any other chip, at least not enough to warrant the extra investment imo. Could just be aussie prices being out of whack to the point where you can get 780's can cost as much as 780ti reference cards sometimes. But I couldn't justify spending $799 on a 780 lightning when I could get a 780ti for the same price.
  7. To be honest I don't see overclocking cards as that much of a great investment over reference PCB's, if you put a waterblock on it they will both run OC like all hell provided you have a good chip. If your running air cooling then noise and temp improvements are worth it, even then I'ld only grab something along the lines of a DCU2 or Windforce unless I wanted to go hella overboard and have the top notch hardware for bling factor.
  8. Incredible show, Only show that's had me hooked right from the pilot episode
  9. Not really sure of a thread, but the basic concept is that chips made closer to the centre of a wafer tend to be more accurately made, thus perform better and get binned higher than chips made towards the edge. I'm not sure if any testing of the chips is conducted after they are removed from the wafer or anything like that. This is a pretty good article on how a CPU gets made http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/cpus/2010/06/10/how-to-make-a-cpu-from-sand-to-shelf/1
  10. Not trying to start an argument at all Just making sure you understood, more knowledge is always better
  11. Yes, but not all the time is my point, It's still possible to get a very well binned 8350 that can run cooler than a 9590 at the same voltages and clocks
  12. There aren't any optimizations though, just a binning process.
  13. Pre set benches are never a good indicator of a cards performance. I've had a few cards that would have anywhere up to 50 percent performance hits in real game scenarios compared to the games built in benchmarks. Tomb Raiders benchmark is a particularly bad example of this.
  14. That's only down to the binning process. 9590's are the exact same thing as an 8350 but are binned higher, so for the most part it will have a lower heat output and lower voltage requirements than a 8350 would to hit the same clocks. If you have won the silicone lottery like OP has then an 8350 that hits 5Ghz on 1.5v will output a similar amount of heat, maybe abit more seeing as it is a lower binned chip. If your very lucky you might even get a hold of an 8350 that needs less voltage and puts out less heat in order to hit 5.0, but that's very rare
  15. Well in that case... 4960x 3 Kingpins 64 gigs of platinums a 2tb revodrive PCI-e ssd a H630 to house it all, maybe even one of them coolermaster HAF XC's when they come out a 360mm monsta rad in front a 60mm 360 up top, 280mm rad if it's in the HAF ELoops all round hooked up to a aquacompter aquero fan controller then I'ld play solitare and minesweeper on it in 4k EDIT- Might even make a Ramdisk and load nothing but solitare and minesweeper on it, because reasons
  16. So do you mean get any components you wish and not have to pay?
  17. 1.5v is fine for an 8350, the 9590 comes at 1.5v/4.8Ghz out of the box then it's 5.0Ghz turbo clock, so to have a 5.0Ghz clock at those volts should be more than fine, it's just a matter of cooling it at that kind of voltage
  18. About 90 US cents to the aussie dollar right now, Aussie parts pricing is out of whack though. The Silverstone units are also very very good quality, I use the 600w model in most of the rigs I do because it's the best PSU for it's price range.
  19. Looks good, I'ld still get a WD Blue instead of the black, you can either save money on a 1tb drive, or get a 2tb drive for the same price as a 1tb black
  20. The MSI and XFX coolers are both very solid, The MSI card would be my pick of the two, the 7970/280x doesn't run too hot like the 290/290x does though and won't have heat issues at all
  21. 280x is slightly ahead in terms of performance, you can grab an MSI 280x for $429 or a XFX for $399 I'ld go that route myself, 770 is still a solid pick though if you want to keep that
  22. Also grab a WD Blue or a Seagate drive, usually run you $69ish at PCCG, 2tb blues or Seagates cost $99, PCCG also has Ripjaws for the same price, best off getting everything at one place and save on shipping.
