  1. Why don't you explain to me then, please enlighten me, If both solutions are using 5v fans, why is air cooling louder? If anything, logically water cooling should be louder because you have the pump in addition to the fans.

    Please refer to this

Because if you beleive anything you have said here at all, then you seriously cannot be shown logic. I'm done, you believe whatever you want, but enjoy your sub par computing experience brought on by your complete retardation.

  2. I'm not following your logic. I have 2x 240mm radiators, all with noctua NF-12 running at 7v.  And I have a EK d5 pump. I really don't understand how you think 4 fans+ pump is more silent than 2 fans.

Because you run that same chip on a D14 and your fans will be running at much higher RPM

You could probably get away with running NF-F12's at 5v each with 480mm rad space if your only running a CPU in the loop, then a D5 can almost run at it's minimum RPM and still power that loop well enough. That's more silent than any air cooler can be

  3. Any air cooler? Now you're just making things up. I stated "high-end" air coolers as well. My loops is silent alright, I can't hear any noise when im sitting at my desk. But if i open my side panel and sit down next to it and compare it to a NH-D14 or another high end air cooler, im gonna hear more whining  because of 2 reason, 1. pump makes noise, 2. i have more fans, so that makes more noise.

Well in that case you either picked a shit pump, or shit fans, or don't have enough radiator area.

Any of these reasons lead back to the same cause, you fucked up

  4. I didn't even add any information about my loop, just what mistakes did I make? I don't know how many time I'm going to type this, air coolers, are more silent, but get worse temps, is that so hard to understand? Water cooling isn't magic, theres a pump which makes noise, you get better temps, but you're still adding another noise source.

If your loop is louder than any air cooler out there, then you fucked up, it doesn't matter on the specs, you fucked up.

You obviously have no idea about watercooling whatsoever, clearly pointed out by the fact that you think air coolers are more silent.

  5. I have a custom loop.... and if you have a high end air cooler, you can keep the fans at 600rpm even with slight overclocks. It sounds like you think air coolers are only good for low end CPUs.

Well you've obviously fucked up big time on your loop then.

And Air coolers are good for near any CPU if you get a good air cooler, but the fact of the matter is that putting a D14 on a OCed 4770k will mean you need much higher fan speeds to keep temps in check than what you would need if you had a good radiator on it. That makes noise, that's just fact and pretty much common knowledge.

  6. Yes, air cooling will never beat a custom loop in temperatures, but they can beat AIO coolers(if those even count) and air coolers are still more silent than water cooling, you just get worse temps. Pretty sure you can get a NH-D14 or something and keep the fans running at around 600rpm and your CPU temps will be fine, but it will be significantly higher than a large watercooling loop(talking almost 20 degree differences between a dual tower vs quad rads with 600rpm noctua fans).

Even at stock clocks, under load your going to need pretty high rpm fans to keep things in check (1300rpm or so) Where a water cooler you can ramp down the fans very low as well as your pump.

There isn't a comparison here so please stop arguing a null point. If you had any experience with a custom loop at all, or ever even seen one, then you would know what your talking about, but it's so very clear that you don't have a clue, so just stop cause this is quite embarassing to see you spit out complete rubbish like this

  7. And how was I wrong?

    2 Fans= 2 noise sources,

watercooling setup includes a pump and how manyever fans you decide to add to it = pump + x fans = more noise sources

more surface area means lower rpm on each fan, means lower noise. No air cooler can keep as silent or cool anywhere near as well as a custom loop, unless your running like a single 120mm rad, then it might be on par

  8. Noiseblocker is nothing compared to Noctua. Noctua beats them just by build quality. Performance/Noise is phenomenal too.

If your concern is noise, I recommend S12A FLX from Noctua, the best cool silent fan out there.

You got to be kidding right? NB's stomp all over anything Noctua has to offer.

The S12A is almost a joke of a fan too, Yeah it's silent as hell, but moves next to zero air whatsoever. An 800rpm model of either NB fan would be as silent and able to move a ton more air because they have proper blades. Thus is the beauty of a NB fan.d

  9. Codecadamy is pretty useless to put it very plainly, it's also pretty rare to find a place online that can give even a half decent insight on how to program.

Your best bet is to pick up an actual textbook on the programming language and study that. I learned C by buying the lastest edition of the C programing language and went from there

  10. Read my post again. since before I joined. He doesn't own the rights to black and white stylised wolf avatars. Now I'm going to stop enabling this ridiculous argument, if you seriously have a problem with me using a profile pic that's similar in style to someone else's I suggest you take it up with a mod instead of randomly throwing insults my way. And f you keep this up then I'll be the one in touch with the mods.

    P.S.

Sorry for hijacking guys, imma shut up for you :/

Ok let me get this straight there are 4million people on forums, probably more, you are saying that if two of those four million people like the same thing then they are copying and being unoriginal, so if i had a picture of my gpu then id be copying someone, let people be how they wanna be, im sorry but you just look really stupid right now, people can do what they want and are free to believe and like what they want im not surprised that two pictures look similar, if someone copied my avatar i wouldnt care.

It's actually quite rude to be taking part of somebodys ID on the forum, I won't take it up with a mod myself because that's really Excons decision to make, But I'm just voicing an opinion that quite a few people I know have made in private discussions and has annoyed them a great deal. It's been a part of his identity since well before Roderick was here.

  11. Can you not use a stock outline profile pic, you unimaginative fart?

I don't take kindly to random hostility over a profile pic I was using since before I joined. <_<

I keep this account this way so I can keep zero personal info on the forums, so there's actually a reason behind me not having a profile pic.

But going ahead and ripping off the image of a very promiment member of the forums since long before you were here is a dog act on your behalf.

  12. Depends on the temps you want to hit, how silent the fans are and your own personal tollerance on noise.

Personally I sit my fan curves down as low as I can get it up until 50 or so degrees and then ramp up to whatever the needed fan speed is to keep the card in check under load. That way you get silence at idle/very light load and the fans  won't exactly do much at all untill you start putting load on the card and then hit a constant fan speed that will keep temps as low as possible under any sort of gaming load without causing too much noise. It's quite an unorthodox way to set the card up but I enjoy being able to not hear a single thing out of my system until I fire up a game :)

It's really best to play around with the card until you find what suits your needs
