Okay, thanks for the suggestions. I have looked a bit more into the Yamaha HS 5 and falling in love with them, so I think I will go with them, as they also fit in size for my desk.

Hello, I currently have the Edifier r1280db speakers for my desktop setup and I would like to upgrade to better speakers. However I am finding it difficult finding speakers that are still within the same range of size, as they quickly get really large as I move up in quality. And since they will have to be on my desk, I need something that are not too large to fit. Do you guys have any recommendations for speakers in the same size range, or maybe a bit larger, than the Edifier r1280db = (WxHxD) 146mm×234mm×196mm? As an example I am looking at the Yamaha HS 5 as a possible choice.

Okay, that is fair enough, I dont mind there not being that much bass as these will mostly be used for YouTube and Twitch. I dont want to go to expensive right now as I want to test out whether or not I will like using speakers compared to a headset, so for now they are mostly to be used when I get fattigue from having a headset on all day. But thanks for the suggestions.

Okay, good to know. My budget is around 150$ / 150€ for the speakers. I was considering either the Presonus Eris E3.5 or Edifier R1280DB, do you have any experience with either of these? Or any other good recommendations? In regards to the placement I was thinking about have them be above the monitors on either side and then angled down, I am just having trouble finding a speaker stand to use, do you have any ideas?

Thanks for the explanation and recommendation, originally I also wanted to have the speakers be mounted above my monitors and have them pointing downwards, unfortunately I had some trouble finding a way to mount them like this. Do you have any recommendation for doing this? The speaker stands I could find, very few of them were high enough, and the ones who where, could not tilt.

I am thinking that I buy either the Edifier R1280DB or Presonus Eris E3.5 and have them sideways on either side of my main monitor, in which I will have to move some stuff around but either should be able to fit. However I am sure which ones to pick as both have great reviews.

Yeah I agree, though I appriciate the help, that kind of monitor arms would not work as my desk is to deep. Further I also need something that would be able to keep the monitors steady even when I have my desk up and is standing at it, which is the main reason I have not used monitor arms so far, as I am afraid that they would not be able to handle that.

Yeah that could be an option. Then I firstly need to find a good pair of monitor arms.

That could also be an option, I just dont have that much space for it, so it would have to be small to fit between my keyboard and monitor. Would that placement affect the sound considering it will be sending the sound directly into my keyboard?

Yeah I had also thought about that. I could also just have the one speaker cover the lower left part of the second monitor. Another question is whether or not you need speaker stands? do they make a difference or are they just nice looking?

Okay yeah that could be an option, but if I move the second monitor that much it would make it very uncomfortable to use it.

Hi, I want to add a pair of speakers to my setup, however I am having some troubles figuring out how I can mount and use them. Both because of my current space restrictions but also because of my current setup with a primary and secondary monitor. So that I dont have to write a novel explaining my setup I have attached a picture. I am hoping that you guys have some good ideas or thoughts on how I could set it up, so that I can add some speakers. Looking forward to hearing your ideas.
