So i just picked one up yesterday for 449 from amazon and it came today about 6 hrs ago. Go for it. Im telling you its amazing. Looks great. Stand is perfectly fine ( no adjustments ) I <3 it. I replaced two qnix monitors with it. (Had no desk space) Its really nice.

find a used 270 for 70 usd. There quite common hardware swap.

If this thing comes with support for thunderbolt and ecc well then I am buying it.

Well its a non reference card. its 5770 butt its like a normal 5770 not mac flashed. It doesn't show the boot screen. You could buy like a gt 120 or some shit for 50- 80 dollars and use that as a second gpu for boot screens.

I was thinking of using it as a login server, time machine server. I could also connect it to my tv and use it as a couch computer.

I can't it was given to me by my dads best friend and my dad would be beyond pissed if I sold it.

So I got gifted a mac pro 2010 (4 core 8gb) in the summer. I already have a pretty good computer, ( 4770K + 970). I haven't really found a use for it and due to it being a gift I can't sell it. Does anyone have any recommendations on what to do with it? In case you guys are like super spoiled son of a bitch I got it at a company that was giving them away to employees and my dads best friend got one since he works there and he has no need for it due to him having a trashcan he gave it to me.
