  1. Nope it definitly isnt that easy. The problem is that i cant install the driver for the expansioncard!
  2. Hm... I own a 750D since half a year now and i think it definitly has enough airflow. This mesh kind of ruins the simplicity and elegance of the Design. The only way it might come in handy is if you plan to mount a radiator in the front.
  3. Hey there LTT community, catching u with my WHAT THE F@*# -ish title, i would like you to help me out with this odd problem i have: My sisters ten-year-old friend somehow managed to disable the wireless-card on her PC by (what i have been told) randomly hammering on the keyboard and now i somehow cant install the drivers for this card anymore. I wasnt at home when this happened, i only got called by my mom who was wondering why this PC doesn´t have access to the internet anymore. I found the adaptor listed as two devices in the devicemanager as usual but they had the warningsign next to them. So i was like: No problem, reinstall the drivers and it will be fine... But i guess this would have been way too easy. I uninstalled the devices, I tried installing the driver from the CD, took the latest from the manufacturers website, I even fucking unplugged the card, booted the PC, turned it off and replugged it but it still doesent fucking work! When i try to manually install the drivers windows says it cant find matching drivers, when i use the setup it also wont detect the card... Any ideas? This is the card and i also use it in two other PC´s and they never made any problems since day one: http://www.tp-link.com.de/products/details/?categoryid=&model=TL-WN881ND The Duck

  5. So i finally found the time to at least silence the HDD cages: First i glued these M4 screws under the sockets: Then i took 3 layers of this foam i had lying around: Layer 1: Layer 2: This middle layer basically holds the nuts for the screws that go into the socket and those who go through to the bottom mesh of the case: I glued the nuts for the screws that go through to it as well: Layer 3: This is actually the one which lifts the socket from the case. And this is how it looks like in the end: I took this pic through the glass of my desk because i forgot to take it in the first place:  Now for the Hotswap: I was thinking about those plugs: http://www.corsair.com/de-de/carbide-air-540-hot-swap-connector But now i need a good material to construct the "backplate". Suggestions ?
  6. Did you get any specific foam? This corsairbackplate looks interesting, althoug it might be kinda hard to cut it if i need to.
  7. Hello everyone, first of all: I have never done such things before but i am sort of a tinkerer, so: I can do this, hold my beer! As much as i love my Corsair 750D ( LTT unboxing on YT ) there are some things that i want to change about it (some time in the future) and two things that really grind my gears: 1 .No matter where i mount the HDD cages, the vibration of the HDD's always gets to the rest of the Case. 2. The HDD-Cages aren´t hotswap and its a real pain to fiddle the cables in whenever u put a drive in. So what i want to do: As you can see in this picture: the HDD-cages are mounted on a plastic socket (if you mount it in the bottom), which is attached to the bottom of the case with some screws. These are actually cupped and i want to put something inside it which works like a shoggysandwich so the cage basically stands on foam. (In theory this should kill the vibrations) Does anyone know what would be the best foam to do this? I guess 3 drives + the cage will be to heavy and simply squeeze a shoggy. For the hotswap: I am trying to find some sort of SATA hotswap module/PCB/adapter which i would simply glue into the back of the cage but its actually pretty hard to find something that is exactly what i want. I found this one but its not really what i want: (just to give you a basic idea) http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-202-SV That one is interesstig as well, but: why the heck are there two SATA ins ?(I have seen this on some pictures of HS PCB's too) http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-319-SV&groupid=2362&catid=1770 Thx in advance Duck
  8. I dont think its failing. I cant hear it on idle, only when writing so the head moving would be my first guess as well. I will try to record it. Is there any specific HDD u can recommend? Lower speed isn't really an option for me.
  9. Hey guys, I recently build a new System and I decided to put a Hitachi HDD in there because they seem to be the most reliable (I have a SSD for windows and sotware). But the porblem i have now is that this HDD sounds like a railgun when writing. It already has an antivibrationmount in my Corsair 750D and i also tried hanging it into rubberbands. Actually i think the shots come from the drive itself. Its loudest when i write some data into MySQL databases. Unfortunately there is no noise to performace setting for this drive. So heres the question: Is there any dampener or something similiar which will kill this sound? If not, any suggestions for a quiet and reliable 2TB drive? (I have only had bad experiences with seagate so far, dont even try to convince me!) **UPDATE** I attached a soundfile, i know it doesent seem to be really loud but believe me, irl it is!(Turn up the volume! ) At the begining there is a mouseklick executing a phpscript, which writes some data into a Database. 10. Okay guys, hibernation on my pc is turned off, so this cant be an issue. AND my pagefile.sys is limited to 1GB. So.... 29+1 is 30 not 70.
  11. No i am not that Stupid...... Hmm i thought Samsung magician turned those guys off. I will have a closer look there.
  12. Hey guys, beware this might be a really stupid question but i cant find anything on google. Maybe I just use the wrong words. So my problem is: My PC shows me, that i use about 70 gigs of my SSD, (rightklick -> properties) and i didnt install that much and i also store my data on a HDD. And this made my curious. So i opened the drive in Explorer, marked everything (also hidden elements) and he tells me the size of all this is only 29 gigs... (less than half) which would match my Installations. So what is this ? Does my system somewhat backup without me even knowing ? Duck
  13. RMA wont be an issue if i wanted too, except that it will take quiet some time, i will test the CPU tomorrow.
  14. Hmm, so i need to admit, these Pictures make it look worse than it is. Actually its just the 2 edges (the vertical part, it isnt rounded in any way) not beeeing as polished as the rest of the Heatspreader. Sry dude. I mean the 5820K
