  1. Yeah I doubt it, I'd just throw a pre order down and wait until whatever wave it comes in rolls up.
  2. Looking to grab one but am a little out of the loop on a few things. 1. Does the 3080 strix have any of the problems that popped up recently when it comes to hardware faults? 2. Will a Corsair RM750x gold be able to power the thing without issue? I'm running an i5 8600k and 16gig ram. Cheers
  3. I was wondering if y'all think the 3x8 pin connector configuration will be the new standard for the higher end 3080(and future) AIB cards such as the MSI X trio OC and the upcoming Asus strix model. Basically I'm asking if I should bother upgrading from a 650w to 750w if the future of cards will be 3x8 pin going forward. Thanks.
  4. I'm looking to snag a 3080 when they drop and was wondering if there will be any power issues with my current specs: i5-8600K Asus Prime Z370-A MB 16GB ram 240GB M.2 SSD 3TB HDD Corsair gold 650w power supply Cheers in advance
  5. Threw it back up to 4.5. 1038 in cinebench @ around 70 degrees. Already wayyyy better.
  6. After touching up the paste I'm sitting at high 30s idle. Which is an improvement, so we'll see how I go.
  7. Sorry, was just putting everything back together. Voltage usually sits at 1.250-1.300.
  8. Overclocked to 4.3 I thought that may have been a problem but the temps stayed the same when I clocked it to 4, 4.3, 4.5 and stock.
  9. I was getting high temps with my i5 8600k @ 4.3ghz lately (up to 50 idle and up to 80 while gaming) the problem persisted after dusting out the cpu fan I decided it may be a mounting or thermal paste issue. For reference I'm using an Cryorig h7 with a single fan. Can anyone tell me if this paste looks strange in any way or if it looks normal. It's been in use for about 2.5 years.
  10. That's probably a good idea, thanks.
  11. https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/wkqWXP I plan to try my hand at overclocking with this one, thanks in advance. (I also already own the 1060 so I'd just be buying everything other than the video card)
  12. What cooler would you use in this case?
