DARKFiB3R's Achievements

  1. So I finally got my replacment today, after waiting 28 working days Horizontal ghosting (which was the worst problem) is totally gone Vertical Ghosting at 120Hz (it's the same at 144Hz) Behaviour shown in video #2 and #3 remains. (#4 is normal) New video filmed at 120fps with an Xperia Z2 Edited to 20% playback speed with Adobe Premiere Pro In person, the ghosting looks a lot smaller and sharper, and looks like alternate vertical columns of pixels are ghosting, like this... |I|I|I|I|I|I|I|I|I|I|I| https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SwPPBqUI9ek&list=PLz_9eFeFABcJz0yh91tWNvZQumfN4XAUM
  2. The 4670K will work in a z97 board, but that doesn't seem like much of an upgrade.
  3. Have you searched for updated drivers? Completely removed and reinstalled current drivers?
  4. What model TV is that? Does the image truly go all the way to the edge like that, or is it just a marketing image? I ask, because this is a marketing image for my TV (LG 47LM670T)... And this is the reality... It's like some sort of internal bezel, with the glass over the top. Very misleading if I had bought it based on the first images, and plenty of others like it.
  5. Sort of off topic, but as you are in the market for such things.... If space is at a premium, this is a nice little setup... AMP/DAC: AUNE X1 MK2 Speakers: Audioengine A2 Sub: Wharfedale Diamond SW150
  6. Have you considered the ATH-PRO700MK2 I can confirm they are BANGIN' They are a tight fit though, but with a few simple mods, they are much better.
  7. Nice read. On a side note, if you are going to c&p somebodies copyrighted work, you could at least take the time to format it correctly
  8. Thanks man, appreciate the digital bro-hug. LOL
  9. Yay! Finally, an answer from and actual owner (though I suppose there are not that many of us right now), and from the man himself You say it's not that bad, but honestly, it's worse in person, and does not happen with my old Dell 2007WFP 20.1" or my TV, LG 47LM670T ULMB is actually the worst mode, with it leaving a bright white/neon blue halo, trailing behind moving icons and text. That, along with my seemingly sensitive nature towards backlight flicker, makes it a pretty bad experience. Due to my other screens being fine, I'm ruling out the gfx card and/or drivers for now, and Linus seems pretty sure that it's not the monitor itself (that was supposed to say "Very unlikely to be a monitor issue", right?), I have decided to blame the DisplayPort cable for now. So... The new cable should be arriving tomorrow This Amazon review of a cable also went a long way to convincing me... http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B007PKPUIK I know it's not cheap, but I don't want to take any chances at this point, as I'm on a fault finding mission.
  10. Various visual anomalies happen during regular dasktop use, but are harder to spot, and much harder to capture on video, but regardless, I just spent £635 on this screen, so I care quite a lot. I am on the verge of sending it back for a replacment, but I was really hoping that I could find some others who have had any experiance with this monitor, so that I can get 100% conformation that there is something unusual happening with mine. The artifacts happen at all refresh rates, 60, 120, 144. Yes, it has g-sync.
  11. So... No ROG Swift owners here that I can compare notes with?
  12. MSI GTX 970, Yep, they are up to date. Pretty surprised that the responses are not more along the lines of.... "Dude, that's ####ed". I have been called away unexpectedly, so I won't be able to respond to this thread as soon as I would have liked, but thank you for the replies so far.
  13. Nope, it doesn't happen on my old monitor, or my TV
