Hi all. I'm currently in the market for a portable laptop (between 11.6 and 14) that can handle some video editing and dj ing (for use with novations launchpad). I'd like it to be fairly light with a decent battery life for under 450$. Any ideas? Would like a sturdier build quality and I don't mind manufacturer refurbs.

I don't think you should. My current pc I use for gaming only has 8 and that's more than enough for me playing modern fps games. Unless your going to run a server you shouldn't need more than 8.

You could probably get a used razer blade for under 1500 if you looked hard.

So here's the challenge. You have 525$ to build a computer (excluding operating system an peripherals). It should be able to run most FPS such as Planetside 2 at at least 60 fps. Good luck. And thank

The Lenovo y50 touch is nice and on the cheaper and more formal side. 1200 for i7 a tb of storage and 8gb ram. Solid build quality to.

How much does portability matter? Are you looking for gaming or portability

I have found that this phone has a nice build quality and is fast....for a time. It starts to slow down which can usually be solved by backing up and the wiping the phone.

If you willing to spend a bit then dell xps 12 is a good option. If not there's t100 or lenovos yoga both coming in under 600$.

I'm looking to create a new and more powerful build. I'm trying to stay with a red scheme. Wondering if there were any suggestions or way to bring the price down. Trying to get it to around 800$. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/CykhYJ

First custom built budget PC - Need Help
NovaFlux replied to ChipDorito's topic in New Builds and Planning
If you want to bring down the price a bit and dont plan on maxing out your computer for gaming/editing/lots of programs you could go with some cheaper ram or just go down to 4gb. Otherwise looks like a decent build. Welcome to the forums
