Fellas, you spammed the thread pretty well with no useful information whatsoever. Whats up with that? However, SkilledRebuilds, thank you for your input.
We are not talking about gaming or if this cpu is enough. When it "fires up" with continuous load it performs the way it should, respectably close to the i7.
Based on single threaded benchmarks around the net, the cores of 3220 and 2500k are pretty much equally strong. This is why I was wondering why do I feel worse performance, the lack of HT or something I'm missing. Or maybe if an issue with the cpu is possible. According to CPU-Z with the energy saving (c1 c3 c6) and speedstepping, the lowest freq. is 1600mhz. I tried disabling everything and I THINK it is better, but I am not sure, might be another factor in there.
But either way, if the energy saving protocols are hitting my performance during browsing (which is basically idle), that's not cool.
I've got an SSD and 8gb of ram. We are not looking at an issue there. I'm swapping 3 cpu's from all classes, the system is the same.
