  1. Hi, PLEASE help me figure this out. I can't get this stupid cooler to hold proper temperatures on this cpu. My room is about 19-20C, at idle it's about 41°C and as soon as you open a browser or anything it shoots up to 62C or more. Pushing full AIDA64 stress test, it's instantly up to 77C and stays there. Cpu uses about 150W stock, fans at about 1700RPM I wanted a quiet setup but it gets noisy quite easily. 1600RPM on fans or more. Were my expectations to keep this CPU at 49C or around there under load with this gigantic cooler unrealistic? Steve seems to have managed to do that in his video, I don't get it. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I just can't reproduce anything near 50C under load: I've reinstalled the AIO onto the cpu with new thermal paste a few times now, seems to spread out evenly and have cross tightened the screws to make sure. Idle: Load test with Aida - Keep in mind CASE WINDOW IS REMOVED: The setup is like this. There wasn't enough room inside the case for the fans+radiator, so the fans are mounted on top of the case chassis, and the radiator inside the case. The fans then blow out the heat through the side vents at the top: Water seems to be running -> pump working, can be felt when touching the hoses. YES I have removed the plastic before installing the cooler.
  2. Does anyone have a P106 card to try make it on and make it into a GTX 1060?
  3. Videos about new flashing tools that can override Nvidia Locks, as far as I could understand it. Would it then now be possible to flash a GTX 1060 bios on a P-106 mining card and install newest Nvidia drivers on it lol? Did anyone try?
  4. This!!! I don't know if this is the "big D#%# energy" Linus was talking about. But I personally like him better in videos when he's down to earth and focused, instead of eyes popping out of his skull and obnoxious hah. But that's of course very subjective. Of course he's super competent, no doubt.
  5. I hope this thread will be a nice change of pace. Ranked after who I find most entertaining or vibe with or just like watching etc. it would look like this. (top 5) Riley Murdock - Very humorous, seems very thorough at work and also feels genuine. Edzel Yago - Feels like one of the most humble and happiest spirits I've seen. Also seems very good at his job. - Anthony changed name to Emily? huh. - Anyway very entertaining to watch, feels like whatever is currently being worked on is getting a lot of internet digging and research. Sarah Butt - I liked how passionate she was about her very expensive color palettes and was fun watching secret shopper. Alex Clark - Quirky, funny but generally tends to try to do right and works on interesting projects. (honourable mention) Dan Besser - Pure troll sometimes during WAN show, I love it.
  6. Wasn't it only the x3D variants that have the problem?
  7. Alright thx. Yeah the only thing it's lacking is ray tracing performance right? I'm asking due to the market prices, to see if Denmark is off the charts, which it seems it is.
  8. 6800 XT's about 535$ USD 6900 XT's Cheapest one i found was 626$ usd, another gigabyte watercooled model was 746$ USD 6950 XT's couldn't even find a single one.
  9. Is it still a bad idea to buy a newer AMD cpu? Or how did it end up? They still burning up or melting?
  10. Ah okay thx. So about 500-600 usd. Here people want 650 to 900 usd for a used one. Denmark. It's insane.
  11. What CPU are you running with that 8-pin? I was considering a 7800X3D or 7700X
  12. Ah okay, so basically you think if I plug in the 8-pin and leave the 4-pin out I should be fine (No manual overclocking)?
  13. I was looking at Asus Prime X670-P. I can see that the new trend is two plugs for CPU power, 8-pin + 4-pin. My motherboard only has the 8-pin today. Current motherboard: I think my power supply only has the 8-pin also. Do we really need to upgrade our power supplies because of this now? Using Cooler Master V750 (750W)
  14. So apparently it was on the "steam browser" even after a steam restart. The steam browser (ingame overlay) would open 4 tabs of this sh¤¤¤y game and spam the audio. Dno wth is going on lol
  15. Anyone else experiencing this WeIRD freaking bug in Skyrim Anniversary edition when run through SKSE a trailer audio is blacking constantly in the background??? wtff!!! FINALLY i tracked down the trailer. THIS IS EXACTLY what's running EVERY SINGLE TIME and in a LOOP through skyrim. WTF. This bad freaking game trailer. This first trailer Is it a steam bug? - Haven't updated mods or changed modlist from last time. Just ran the game like normal through SKSE exe IT'S SO FREAKING ANNOYING!!!
  16. Just an update, I ended up buying an extension cord from Aliexpress Should arrive sometime next month Always super slow to EU. i'll try to post a photo when it's done, If i manage to remember.
  17. Yeah it's because there isn't a lot of room for the long cable tail in an SFX build, so I can see why it's necessary.
  18. Wow thanks!! I didn't know what they were called. Would you dare order one from Ali express ? I bet they are made in China anyway hah
  19. Isn't it soldered onto the PSU like that?? + You lose the warranty right? - Good luck turning this around. Photo from Lian li SP 750W
  20. I ran into this exact problem while trying to install a Lian Li 850w power supply into my node 202 case yesterday. HOLY MOLY it was a terrible fit. Node 202 Ion SFX Gold Compatibility : Fractal Design Support (fractal-design.com) Because the plug well on the power supply on the lian li PSU is oriented and placed as illustrated, it's almost impossible to fit into the case. The angles at which a 850w cable is bent is also very sketchy imo. Plus the case has 4 screw towers that have to get by, exactly where the cable bends (left side of image) so I've nicked the cable insulation a bit already due to the extreme tight fit. Apparently the two PSU's at 850W that are at affordable price (1200DKK ~ 172$USD) are oriented like this. If I have to look for other options the price increases. (1700DKK ~245$USD.) I could've just turned the PSU upside down, however then the fan wouldn't be able to suck fresh air as the only grills in the node 202 are at the bottom Photo from link. Thoughts about this experience? In hindsight, I should've perhaps done more thorough research regarding orientation etc. but still really annoying. Also the cables mini ITX PSU's come with should have more length variants included. The cable spaghetti in this area in my build is unmanagable The cables are just waaaay too long, very unnecessary. Photo as illustration.
  21. whoa, has malwarebytes always been free?? I remember it kept prompting me to upgrade. Maybe I downloaded the wrong edition before
