  1. I am using a pair of JBL lsr 305 monitors for my audio and I was wondering if adding a subwoofer to them would improve my listening experience. I know there is a dedicated sub for them but I am not willing to spend that much for a bit more bass. In my research i have found this video. The polk audio psw10 seemed to be a good choice but then I checked the specs and it says it effectively goes down only to 40hz, which is not much better than 43hz of my JBLs. How is this possible that such cheap but well reviewed subwoofer with the driver double the size of my audio monitors can't produce significantly deeper bass? To add to the confusion something like logitech z906 has a similar price to this sub but offer full set of 5.1 speakers with the sub that goes down to 35hz even though it is only 8 inch. Is there some other spec I am not taking into account? I know that overall loudness is also important, especially for big rooms but my room is only 7.5m^2 so that is not a concern for me. So my question is, should I save up for something that can reach lower like 30hz or is this psw10 sub somehow going to make a positive difference too?
  2. I have gtx 660 and recently one of the fans started to make unpleasant noises and sometimes it even stops spinning.
