  1. Thank you!
  2. Or do I go with QLED since my viewing angle is directly straight on from my bed? https://amzn.to/3Y9W5pf
  3. I am looking to get a new TV for my bedroom. Decided 55” works best for my setup but I want 4K. I have found a few on Amazon for pretty cheap and want to check some boxes. I do not care about what smart hub is included as I have a 4K Apple TV I will be using. - must be 4K - HDR would be nice - sound doesn’t matter as I have a new soundbar/sub combo(it’s a Samsung SB so pairing with a Samsung TV would be nice) - QLED vs OLED vs Crystal UHD 4K??? I have no idea what looks the best. I’ve seen one OLED TV in my life and that was this past weekend. I love how black is black and all colors are bright. Here are some links to the ones I am considering: 1. https://amzn.to/3S5a4IU 2. https://amzn.to/3W1r2sZ 3. https://amzn.to/3W7pgpZ 4. https://amzn.to/3y1WUFN 5. https://amzn.to/3S6OeEZ
  4. I replaced this part hoping this would fix it.
  5. For those that know about TV’s, I bought a new board for the TV that connects the left side and right side ribbon connectors but I still am having this issue where the left side of the screen flickers brightness. TV is a 55R6E Hisense. IMG_0587.mov
  6. I am looking to get a new keyboard since I just bought everything else for a PC upgrade. I would like a custom mechanical keyboard with switches that arent extremely loud(but I want the click). I am torn between the Drop CTRL V2 and the Keychron V6. Comparing the 2: Drop CTRL V2: - Price - I would like a numpad for my work, but not necessary - I like the keycaps and how they are square Keychron V6 - rounded keycaps - RGB is better and not facing south like the Drop - I do not know what switch to get with these. Anything helps, thank you.
  7. Any specific reason why I shouldnt? Just looking to learn more about RAID for the future.
  8. So I recently just built a new computer, and I am looking to see if I should setup my drives in RAID. I use my computer for gaming only and work/personal stuff here and there. BUT, all of my work files and all of my personal files are synced to OneDrive so I have access to either if I just login to my OneDrive on any Windows Device(Work laptop, personal laptop, or my home desktop). I am considering doing a RAID 0 setup so maximize the speeds, total size of my volume partition, and also so I don't have to remember what games are stored on what volume. Right now, I have 3 SSDs in my build: - Samsung 980 Pro 1TB M.2 PCIe Gen 4 - Crucial P5 Plus 2TB M.2 PCIe Gen 4 - Some random 500GB SATA SSD that was in my old build(Perfectly fine with just taking this out....) - (I will be getting a 2TB Samsung 980 Pro 2TB M.2 PCIe Gen 4 for Christmas on Monday) So my question is, should I even bother with setting up a RAID 0? Right now the 1TB 980 Pro is my Boot drive along with the biggest games I have on my PC. The 500GB SATA SSD is holding Baulders Gate and some random other smaller games, and then the 2TB is for any new games I want to download in the future. The new 2TB SSD will also be for that whenever I run out of game space. The annoying this is right now is trying to find out what game is on what drive when I need to access the save files or something. If I do end up using RAID 0, I read if one drive fails, then all my data is lost... So if I have Windows installed on the RAID 0 Partition with all of my games, will my computer just not work one day if one of my drives fails? I have setup RAID in the past when I took a class in High School to get my certification but I haven't ever actually used it in real world experiences. I usually just add a drive and make it a separate Simple Volume. With that being said, would everything that is currently on my drives be deleted if I did setup RAID? Thanks in advanced.
  9. No all of xfinity in my zip code maxes out at 40Mbps upload. It sucks cause AT&T Fiber offers matching down and up. But I dont like dealing with AT&T Support when their service is constantly down.
  10. Interesting. I think I am going to stick with the modem provided/rented and go the Dream Machine route and just reduce our speed to 1Gbps since all the switches are 1Gbps anyways. Paying for 200Mbps that I cant even use. Plus, 1Gbps is plenty.
  11. I think so yeah its $10/month to rent the equipment. So yeah maybe down the line I can switch modems to an approved one. The UCI from Ubiquiti would work.
  12. Awesome thank you so much! Ive been watching some videos on setup and I dont think it could be any easier as long as the modem would give the Dream machine the internet service.
  13. I am pretty sure its copper. The Modem gets its internet through COAX from the box at the street.
  14. I am not looking to spend more than I have to by buying the ISP box. As long as I can get the actual dream machine and APs setup, then I should be good to go! But that also is a good point. We pay for 1200Mbps but really we dont need that. Nobody in the house besides me uses 1000Mbps(I am limited because of the Switch Lite I got). So we might actually downgrade our internet bill to only pay for 1000Mbps. With that being said, I appreciate the insight and help! I live with my parents due to rent/housing prices and my dad wants me to upgrade everything because he is getting pissed at Xfinity for the crappy wifi. Switching to Ubiquiti should allow us to have better connections while I also would be running ethernet to the main devices.
  15. I am looking to upgrading my homes internet to full Ubiquiti gear. I currently have Xfinity with 1200Mbps download. Currently, I am utilizing the Xfinity provided Cable Modem/Router Combo while also using the Eero Mesh Network from Amazon. I am looking to explore my options for the best home network possible with no downtime aside from when xfinity itself is down. What I have gathered so far is that I can disable the router functions on the provided cable modem and obtain a Ubiquiti Dream Machine. From there, I already have 2 switches from Ubiquiti. I have the Flex Mini 5 port switch in my room for my PC setup. I then just ordered the Lite 8 PoE switch(should be here in a week). If I got a dream machine and a wall mounted rack system, would I be okay with running the ISP provided modem as long as I disable the routing functions? If I get the dream machine, I would order 2 of the U6+ access points and run ethernet down through the walls using PoE. Any recommendations are welcome. I am trying to get rid of the Mesh network system in our house and just swap to access points with a Cloud Gateway. We currently use the modem/router provided by the ISP and have tons of issues with the Living Room TV buffering while other devices are online.
