  1. I mean, I do agree. But living on my own in a foreign country where I most likely will travel home every now and then... Would be nice to have a laptop option... But then again, it will be rare or maybe not at all. So maybe I should stick to a desktop
  2. I am moving to a different country for work and I have decided to get rid of my beast of a desktop at home and get a new once since travelling with monitors and heavy hardware will only be a hassle. I'm fairly out of the loop when it comes to "stationary laptop stations", is it a happy medium? I mainly play FPS games and plan to get my hands on a proper gaming monitor (LG 27GR95QE? ) together with my peripherals, would a laptop be "compatible" with that? Anyone got some recent experience with this? What alternatives would you guys recommend? Laptop + equipment? Docking? New desktop in my new apartment and figure out what to do with it if/when I move back home? Basically looking for tips on the "laptop as a desktop" idea. Is it decent? I have some events I might have to travel with, so I'm thinking a laptop would be best for this scenario, but I've never looked into top tier laptop stations etc since previous work has always been on a strict budget for schools etc. Can mention that I lowkey have PTSD from the amount of issues I've experienced with docking stations Any thoughts and tips on this are greatly experienced! -V
  3. Should I only buy a better GPU and a bigger SSD then? Is it worth changing motherboard from 1155 to 1150 and get a stronger i7? Currently have Intel i7 3770K 3.50GHz
  4. Not doing a complete water cooled build. Only a CPU watercooler. Like a NZXT Kraken X61 Only gone with really stock stuff untill now. Moving slowly into more "advanced" things. Not going to overclock this build at once either. But will in the nearest future when it will be needed before buying another new build. So, wondering. What Motherboard should I buy these days? And what CPU?
  5. Hello LTT! I feel like making a new build combined with some old parts. I want to change from 1155 to 1150, and maybe throw in a 2nd GPU. Bought a 960 because I needed a new card and was low on money. First off, GPU should I buy a 2nd 960 or should I upgrade to a higher card? My Current Setup: MB: Asus Maximus V Gene CPU: Intel i7 3770K 3.50GHz GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 960 4GB RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB 1600Mhz (4x4gb) PSU: Corsair TX750 SSD: Samsung EVO 250GB HDD: 3x Western Digital Black 1TB I want to buy a watercooler for my CPU for the first time, SLI would be cool aswell but not sure if it will be worth it? New Setup (Will be updated along with post): MB: ??? CPU: ??? GPU: 2x Gigabyte GeForce GTX 960 4GB or 1x Upgrade??? RAM ??? PSU: Corsair TX750 SSD: Samsung 500 GB or 2x Samsung 250GB in Raid? I want a Color theme aswell, will change the case aswell. Considering a NZXT H440 in white, combined with white LEDs and fans. Thanks for all help -Vinni
  6. Already got one 960 card and yes, I do some video editing. Nothing 3D editing yet, but some day... (aint that what everyone says, ey?)
  7. Please tell me, why is this not a good idea?
  8. Hello ltt! I am building my first SLI build and was wondering if SLI with 2x Gigabyte GeForce G1 Gaming GTX 960 4gb will be too much for my Corsair TX750 PSU? Not going to overclock and the cards will run on a Asus Sabertooth Z97 Mark S with 32gb of ram? Thanks -Vinni
  9. I am creating a Guild on wow combined with a CS:GO team and we might expand from there. I want a name that will fit both for WoW + CSGO. It needs to sound cool and preferably have a prefix that looks cool aswell (max 4 letters). A logo will be bought aswell, so a name that could turn into a cool logo... A lot of requirements here, but I want a final name that we are satisfied with. \\Vinni
  10. Ahh, okey. I ofc play in Fullscreen-Windowed. For all games it is available for!
  11. Hello LTP! I play a lot of CSGO, but lately I get some weird lag/fps issues. It shows in my net graph that I have 400 fps when it appears.. And 400 stable normally. So it dosnt seem like the FPS is the issue... Hardware: CPU: Intel i5 2550K 3.4Ghz GPU: GeForce 680 2gb Windforce Memory: Crucial 4x4gb 1600Mhz Motherboard: Asus Maximus V Gene 1155 All in-game settings are on low!
  12. This build looks amazing! Great job! Those cables looks like candy
  13. I'll continue to use OBS since I know how to use it and it works fine for streaming 720p 60fps atm without any form of lag. But I need a stronger GPU and a new CPU now.
  14. I have good quality and dont drop frames etc with OBS now. But I have issues streaming while having Chrome open. New CPU is the answer?
  15. Cant stream 1080p through Shadowplay. Also, it's very straight-forward way to stream with little settings to play around with. Atm my mic dont even works on the stream but the quality on the stream is fine. My FPS drops sad tho :'/
  16. 60fps 1080p without any lag issues? Highly doubt it.
  17. Okey, but as I already mentioned. I have no experience and no one close to where I live nor that I know of that knows how to overclock... 2 monitors atm with all settings on low @CSGO I have everything from 60-160fps (sometimes it freaks out, mainly because of google chrome)
  18. Quality I want on recording are 60-120fps full-sized (smooth slow-mo's) and streaming in 60fps 1080p. So. You think my current build with for example an Intel Core i7 3770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core + maybe a new GPU should be able to deal with w/e I throw at it?
  19. Another "moviemaker" has this stock setup: CPU: FX 8350 | 4.0GHz | 8Core (AMD) GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 (ASUS) MB: Sabertooth R2.0 (ASUS) RAM: 16Go (Corsair) SSD: 120Go (Samsung) HDD: 2To (Seagate) And he makes 60fps super smooth videos. (You can see a preview here: http://www.warcraftmovies.com/movieview.php?id=242308) Also really tempted to try out AMD again as I already mentioned. So I am considering buy this: CPU: FX 9370 4,4GHz 8Core + Corsair H100i Cooler GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 980 4GB MB: Crosshair V Formula-Z Republic Ram: 4x4gb Kingston HyperX FURY 1866MHz HDD: Boot: Samsung 840 250gb Saving: WD Black 1TB Recording: WD Black 1TB thoughts? ^ Considering getting one more 250gb Samsung SSD. Really satisfied with the one I already have! Why 2x @ RAID 0? Got a link or a guide for me to understand "why?"
  20. I'll be honest. I wont be overclocking. Not yet at least Dont got time for all the testing etc (No one close to where I live who can do it for me either)
  21. WD Black then! Thanks for the quick and friendly replies! <3
  22. I am ordering new harddrives later this week and got an SSD already. So that wont be necesarry. But I need GPU (Considering the new 900 series from geforce), cpu, motherboard and ram. Well, not really a budget but nothing crazy. Wont be overclocking nor doing any dual+ GPU's. This is my current build (Will basically be a upgrade project with almost everything being swapped ) Case: Fractal Design Define R4 Black CPU: Intel i5 2550K 3.4Ghz GPU: GeForce 680 2gb Windforce Memory: Crucial 4x4gb 1600Mhz Motherboard: Asus Maximus V Gene 1155 Powersupply: Corsair TX 750W My powersupply is still going strong (aint modular tho, but it's old ) my Case are without 2nd HDD rack, so should be able to fit just about any GPU. I want to change motherboard, gpu, cpu and ram.
