  1. I have an Asrock P67 PRO3-SE motherboard (this motherboard was bought like 6 months ago and is almost new, payed $70 for it) with an i5-2310, 10 gb of ddr3 1333mhz (2x4gb,1x2gb), a gtx 750ti and an EVGA 600w 80plus psu. I want to know if its worth it to upgrade this computer to an i5 3570k or i7-3770k, and gtx 1060 , or if its better to build a new system with something like a Ryzen 5 1600 or 2600 and the gtx 1060 (I´m not considering RX580 because i use shadowplay a lot and a NVENC plugin for premiere). The psu would be the same as this PSU is like 1.5 months old and is pretty good for my budget. Question is. ¿Is the platform change worth it? If i upgrade to one of the cpus mentioned before and the gtx 1060, i could keep my motherboard and ram. I would save like $120. For longevity and everything else, ¿is the platform change worth it?

someone knows what this is used for
  5. Besides my PSU doesn't have PCI-E power connectors.
  6. Asrock support told me the same. But man, the GTX 1050s with external pci-e power are waaaaay overpriced. Even PCI-E slot powered ones are like $50 more than MSRP and the ones with 6 pin power connectors are like $60-$90 over MSRP????
  7. I've been using this motherboard for a long time and has always been with an i5-2310 and a Nvidia Geforce 210. I'm looking forward to upgrade to a GTX 1050 but I'm not sure if my motheboard is capable of powering that GPU. I've been reading and some forums say that some motherboards (OEM mobos like Dell) can only supply 25 or 35 watts of power to the PCI-E slots. I've made some research about my motherboard and haven't found any information regarding this topic. I don't know if this motherboard is capable of providing the 75watts a GTX 1050 requires. Its worth mentioning that my PSU is a crappy 500w unit but has never given trouble in the 6 years I've owned it. Also, if the motherboard can support the GPU, I will then upgrade to a decent 80plus bronze PSU. Thanks.

  9. I have a Roxio GameCap Pro HD. I want to record PC gameplays of minecarft with it I need to hdmi cables but I only have 1 and my monitor supports only vga and dvi. My graphics card is a Zotac Geforce 210 1 GB ddr3. I wonder if I can run one hdmi cable from the gpu to the roxio and capture normally without using the roxio as a "passtrough" and having another HDMI cable on the other end, besides running a VGA cable to my monitor from the gpu and have the same image on both outputs
