Should I enable IPv6 connectivity on my new router? What difference will it make?

Is there a way to use the volume buttons, display brightness, etc while using Linux without having to use the Crouton Integration extension? I tried using the Crouton Integration extension, but it caused too low of an FPS drop.

My Chromebook has successfully installed crouton and everything works fine. And now I'm wondering if I can take my Chromebook out of developer and still access xfce?
