  1. Welcome to the forums! Those are normal temps and with dual 980TIs, and I think you have a ton of performance. If your willing to risk your system (especially your 980TIs) with a first-time custom loop, I would say hell yeah, but I'd say your system is managing more than alright. But again, if your really want to pump (pun kinda intended) as much performance out of your baby as possible, do it. Just please PLEASE use regular flexible tubing instead of acrylic. I've never done it myself bc even if I had the funds, I'm too scared to risk my system like that. That being said, I'm still quite knowledgable on the subject and PM/reply if you have further questions. Cheers.
  2. Am I the only one who finds this confusing? Can you please explain this in a more clear way?
  3. Completely skipped over the "gold" my b EDIT: My suggestion is the EVGA GTX 970, but if thats too expensive then perhaps the Sapphire Nitro 390x
  4. Slightly better performance in games, and faster booting times (if that matters to you) The 960 isn't really the best GPU for the price, so a GTX 770 or 970 (a bit more expensive) would be nice. Some people prefer AMD cards, like the one R9 280x that I have works like a charm and is the one I would suggest if a 970 is too expensive.
  5. Max TDP of 290 is nearly 300w... A 550w PSU would be cutting it kinda close unless its maybe gold or platinum
  6. A vaporX 290 would be absolutely sick, but yeah you'll want to upgrade your PSU to 650w before that. If thats not possible, either a GTX 770 or R9 280x
  7. Fighterstick, flightstick, joystick, joypad... they're all the same genral thing I have a CH Fighterstick, hasn't had any problems although it is a bit light and clunky. A little on the pricey side, but it does have tons of features (over 130 functions it says in the manual I think) http://www.pilotmall.com/product/CH-Fighterstick-USB-Joystick/Shop-By-Manufacturer-CH-Products?gclid=Cj0KEQjwz6KtBRDwgq-LsKjMk9kBEiQAuaxWUpwyubA3LpZpJCKZw0HR5Dx6S0dxqfiN6o35bZG00UgaAsgz8P8HAQ
  8. In stock online or in a store? If online, possibly here? http://www.coolerguys.com/840556102717.html?productid=840556102717&channelid=FROOG&gclid=Cj0KEQjwz6KtBRDwgq-LsKjMk9kBEiQAuaxWUklzjyDAJVaQUPncjJaF9pSxoGigOwqQ6TWOIEBxBBYaAvMj8P8HAQ
  9. I didn't know whether to put this in GPU or PSU, so its going here. About a year ago, a good friend of mine named Miles bought a decent gaming PC from iBuyPower, and it's been getting the job done. Recently, he's found himself with a superfluous amount of cash after getting a job, and wants to make some upgrades. His z97 (exact model is in spec list) has only one PCI-e x16 slot, and eventually wants to add another GPU (GTX 770) He doesn't have an account, but wants to know whether he should: -Get a 980/980ti. or -Get a better motherboard (with two PCI-e x16 slots) and (gold+ rating) PSU. I've told him multiple times that his z97 is completely functional, and his 700w PSU is supplementary, but he wants to hear other points of view, if any. So; are two 770s better than a 980 (or worth it for that matter) in regards to "risking" his system with a 700w PSU and z97 mobo. He doesn't really know a ton about components but what are your opinions? ALSO SIDE NOTE- iBuyPower made two mistakes on the part list, but really there is only one PCI-e x16, and the PSU is 700w (I checked it myself) Highlighted in red are the mistakes. 1 x Processor Intel® Core™ i7-4790K Processor (4x 4.0GHz/8MB L3 Cache) - Intel® Core™ i7-4790K 1 x Motherboard: ASUS Z97-P -- 2x PCIe x16, 4x USB 3.0, 2X USB 2.0 1 x Memory: 16 GB [8 GB x2] DDR3-1866 ADATA XPG V2 1 x Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 - 2GB - Single Card 1 x Case Lighting: Cold Cathode Neon Light - Blue 1 x Power Supply: 600 Watt OCZ ModXStream Pro
  10. SO Enthoo came out with their new case about 3 days after I made my initial post.... The Enthoo Pro M is everything I was asking for, with the shroud, 5.25" bay and plenty of cable management room. YAY thank you guys for trying though lol
  11. lmao which reader do you use in particular?
  12. Ew the luxe is disgusting no but the 440 is a very plausible option, ill just have to get a usb disc reader
  13. Hello, I need help finding a mid tower case with both a PSU shroud and a 5.25" drive bay. thanks
  14. Research what it does before blocking it It could be more important than you think but I wouldn't know
  15. can someone explain what he means by speed up? you mean freeze and then speed up to compensate?

    Arma 3 issues

Is it normal to have 15 fps on Multiplayer low settings, and around 20 on ultra? I really want the absolute max fps i can get, and 20 really doesnt cut it.... I just got a new CPU from my pentium (see my signiture) and have a 280x... Is this normal? I have arma on my HDD
  18. GTX 780ti or 970 EDIT: Welcome to the forums!
  19. If your screwed, at least try and fix it lol
  20. well the 5820k has more cores and will yeild better for games that support it (next to none) and multitasking, although the 4790k has a higher single core perfomance I'd say its not worth the large price, 1 vote for 4790k
  21. They already fucked up on BattleNet 4 and Hardline imo so ive stopped playing Of course with battelfront coming out, ill look into reviews of it and maybe DICE will redeem themselves
