  1. It's impossible to uninstall the business-grade features I don't want, and I guess it really just comes down to my own obession with not wanting a bunch of things I'll never even touch. If I must use Windows, it's gonna have to be as stripped down as possible.
  2. Because I don't want a bunch of shitty bloatware I'm never going to use.
  3. Can I do this? I accidentally used a product key for the Pro Edition when Windows said it wasn't activated, and now have no idea what the easiest way to essentialy downgrade back down to Home Premium would be.
  4. Actually this doesn't look like it can do what I need. At this point I think I might just perform a clean install.
  5. Hey everyone. I just got and installed my new SSD today, but now I'm at the cloning stage. Does anyone know of free software that will allow me to clone specific things from my HDD to the SSD, and not just fail because the destination drive is too small to clone all the contents of the source drive? (To be more specific, I'd like to clone just the OS right now.)
  6. Right, I just remembered that should have no bearing on the reliability. Guess I'm doing some power supply shopping tonight.
  7. It's actually 80+ bronze if that makes any difference. But if it's crap I'll certainly start looking around for something new. Thanks for the help.
  8. Antec Neo Eco 620W 60+ Bronze I think? (should've looked it up before I posted. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371031)
  9. Alright guys, so within the last week I got my new GTX 770 to replace my 660 Ti, which I thought for sure was defective because of the fact that it would crash pretty much every mildly demanding game at a certain point. Temps were fine and all that, I tried various solutions to no avail. I thought it was just because I bought one that was open box or something. Anyway, I thought for sure the 770 would alleviate this annoying issue, but since I've had it, it has crashed Just Cause 2 twice. So this isn't a game that should have driver issues or anything, and I'm really not too sure what it could be at this point which is why I'd like some of your opinions. The next thing I think of is upgrading the power supply I've had for two years, which I might add, does have the required wattage to power a 770. I'm gonna give it a bit of time, see if the issue persists with any other games, and if it comes down to it I plan on swapping components out, beginning (and hopefully ending) with the PSU. I'll also add in that the card is overclocked, but I didn't really push it at all with the settings yet. I just put in the ones Linus uses, which I understand should be quite realistic.
  10. Alright, so basically a 4-pin is the only other thing that can work inside an 8-pin socket besides an actual 8-pin?
  11. Hi there. Quick question I'm curious about; the past while I've had a 4-pin plug from my PSU plugged into the 8-pin socket on my mobo, due to the fact that it does not have an 8-pin plug. I've heard this is not recommended if you want to overclock, so what I'm wondering is if the double molex-to-6-pin adapter I found kicking around will supply sufficient power to the CPU so that I could overclock. I've already checked and it does fit into the 8-pin socket. Thanks in advance.
  12. All I have is a 500GB Seagate drive which hasn't proved to be enough. It's probably time for an upgrade of some sort.
