  1. Why cant i find a simple product that is just a big circular shaped thing that has a few power sockets, a hdmi, and a ethernet or two. I can find either one or the other, but not both in one unit. just something either heavy enough to not move around or clamps to a 60mm desk grommet hole. it seems like every product ever you have to cut a giant rectangular hole out of the table and it is recessed down inside then. I cant modify the table because its part of the building lease so it has to sit on top of the table in the middle. something like picrel but not 90 years old and has hdmi this simply clamps into a regular desk 60mm hole if not I'll just 3d print one bruh but how does it not exist already
  2. do you have the original psu leads? or is that what you need? if you bought it second hand without the cables, unfortunately it's pretty expensive to source new cables. you need a full set of Corsair Type 4 cables
  3. is this a new build? do you have a modular psu? did you use the cables that came with the psu or did you get aftermarket cables?
  4. yeah this is the other point, a 32in 1080p my eyes are watering just thinking about it, imagine everything is huge again like its windows 95 or something. completely unusable resolution for that size, my house window screen has more dpi than it they did it for signs because you want big fat pixels to let more light in and out, but damn is this entire product just a scam.
  5. games being cpu based is a meme people say when they already have a decent gpu, you have a 15 year old gpu. it's 100% the fault of the gpu making the game run poorly.
  6. that price is pretty disappointing since you can buy the reflective material and just diy your own one for 15x less money.

    Usbc hub

they do make 50ft usb-c cables, but they have to be active ones, meaning the cable itself has hardware at each end. And even then 50ft is right at the limit. you would be better off going with a fiber optic usb-c cable they do not do displayport at this length, so you would have to buy and run one 15 meter usb-c and one 15 meter displayport cable. Then any usb-c hub would work for just peripherals though that's like at least $250 in cables
  8. if the server expects you to send it a hash to authenticate, then a hacker can simply send it the hash and get in. why would they need to brute force it. there is no difference to what you are describing
  9. your password is encrypted on your pc and sent to the server where it is decrypted back into cleartext. THEN it is hashed and compared to the stored hash. it cannot be hashed on your pc because your pc is not the one verifying the password is the correct one
  10. yeah but surely youve had to enter it since last june. every time you enter it, it is encrypted and sent to the server where its decrypted and verified so that you can log in. the server can just check it at any of those times and notify IT for incompliance, or more likely notify you automatically and not let you log in till you fix it. this is not new stuff, it is done everywhere
  11. No they do not have to store the password in cleartext, they can just analyze it at any time you enter it for compliance. Some rare cases, the password is analyzed at creation and information about it is stored in cleartext, this would look like contains: x amount letters, numbers, no special characters, ect ect.
  12. what are you even trying to do you dont need a schematic just stare at it, its a simple dual layer pcb
  13. yea a 3060 or rx 6650 xt or 4060ti or probably a 4070 with turboboost turned off
