  4. Now I am considering selling it without the memory or power supply. Where should I sell it online?
  5. Hey, thanks for all the replies guys, I think what I am going to do is just sell my video card and buy a new one. Thanks
  6. Hey, I decided that I want to sell my computers (laptop & desktop). The specs for my desktop are: Intel Core i5 2500K Gigabyte P67a-UD4-B3 Kingston HyperX RAM 8GB 1600MHz Samsung DVD Burner MSI Twin Frozr III Radeon HD 6950 1GD5 Power Edition (can be flashed to 6970) Corsair TX650M Semi-Modular PSU Bitfenix Shinobi ATX Case The specs for my laptop are: Acer 5745DG-6681 Intel Core i5 480m 4GB Nanya Tech Memory 1333MHz Nvidia Geforce GT 425m (great overclocker) Blu-Ray Drive Has a built in 3D transmitter Seagate Momentus XT 500GB Drive Windows 8 Professional I do need money for decent computers and the only way I can get them is by selling these computers at the right price. So, I need help deciding a price for my desktop. For my laptop I was deciding on $899. At NCIX the price for my laptop is $1299.99 (with i7 but with terrible hard drive and Windows 7 Home Premium) I also am throwing in a Swiss Army Laptop Bag with my laptop too. What should I change? Thanks Here is my Shinobi: http://linustechtips.com/main/gallery/album/67-bitfenix-shinobi-rig/ Here is my Acer: http://linustechtips.com/main/gallery/album/68-5745dg/
  7. This is getting really wierd now. I didn't overvolt it. All I did was increase the core to 900MHz. I get the screen flickering at some parts of the screen (I am using Windows 8). It only flickers when I open an application or enter the start menu or something. The screen does not flicker while I am in the burn-in test. It appears stable but it seems too hot (92 degrees). Even when I reset the clocks, the screen still flickers. I have to put the system to sleep when this happens, then when I wake, it is fine.
  8. Thanks guys, I will try it out and come back and tell you my results
  9. I removed the 6970 flash. This issue was still there before I flashed it
  10. My 6950 won't overclock. I can overclock it about 20MHz over it's factory overclocked state (850Mhz and 1300MHz). The main issue is that I never see artifacts. My driver just crashes. My screen turns black when in game then crashes to the desktop saying the "atimdag" or something crashed. I decided to test my RAM first to see if there was a problem. I took out one stick and used the other one. BTW my RAM is Kingston HyperX 8GB RAM 2X4GB 1600MHz. I was able to overclock my system to about 925MHz on the core and 1325MHz on the memory (because it is locked in MSI Afterburner). I am able to play it but it crashes after about 30 min of playing a game. I place the other stick back in and take the other one out. Same thing happens. I am able to overclock it but it crashes 30 min into the game. I don't see any artifacts on the screen while I am playing.but it just crashes. I tested the RAM for 2 days on each stick and there was no errors what so ever. All of my specs are below. Please help me decipher my problem. Thanks
  11. Wow, it must be a great overclocker. I would say you are really lucky that your system can overclock. My 6950 can't overclock :(. I tried looking for answers and tried for so long but just can't get it to OC.
  12. The thing is, we can't tell you when exactly your hardware will become unable to play games on ultra, but I can tell you that when that point comes across, I think you should upgrade your video card. I think that your card will still be able to play games on ultra even in 2 years. But technology is still changing and who knows? Maybe companies might make a new engine where even the gtx 680 couldn't handle it. I say that you should be prepared for when this happens. Not now but in the following years. Hope this helps.
