Use a 12v DC power adapter. The current doesn't matter. If you want the fan to run at lower speeds get a lower voltage adapter.

Yeah, I suggest you get a 120GB just so you can have programs and a few games on it (like Tro said above).

I've been subscribed to Linus Tech Tips on Youtube for a long time, they helped me build my very first gaming rig and I'm still watching them daily to this day. If I get something signed by them, I might fanboy out.
