  1. I'll perform an extensive benchmarking suite tomorrow and post it here. Please feel free to provide me with testing scenarios that might help me uncover what is going on.
  2. Cpu usage seems to vary but I haven't gotten 99% usage.I'm using a decent 500w psu so unless there is something wrong with voltages I just can't understand the performance.
  3. There are reviews out there getting high 70s with dips down to the 60s for minimums but here I am getting dips to the 20s.
  4. I'm running the 6gb version.I blocked svchost so I'm am not getting the disk usage I was before yet the wild framerate persists.
  5. The CPU doesn't seem to be underclocking itself and doesn't even reach 100% in a lot of occassions
  6. I have the latest 376.33 drivers with peak 67 degrees 1800mhz on the core 100% utilisation
  7. I'm running a zotac gtx 1060 mini, a i5 4460 and 8gb of ram running at 1600mhz but I am not getting near the performance of reviewers. When running Watch dogs 2 on high with specular reflections and anti-aliasing turned off I can't get a stable 60fps regularly dropping to the mid 40s and this the same for Rise of the Tomb Raider.I regularly get 100% disk usage but that doesn't seem to be the issue.I'm running on the latest drivers and I am using a 1080p monitor. The 1060 isn't underclocking itself nor is it too hot so I don't believe that is the issue either.Any Suggestions?
  8. I would love to win the Razer Blade Stealth due to its portability, sleek design and battery life. This would be a god send as I currently don't have a laptop and in the coming week I will be starting computer science in university and would be of great help to me in my studies for taking notes, programming and having less heft to deal with travelling between campuses daily.I would also think it would with its high res touch screen also providing a great way to test mobile applications which is what I want to specialize in. Also Congrats on reaching such an amazing mile stone of 3 MILLION SUBSCRIBERS!!!!!! I have been with you guys from the start and have watched all of your videos and just want to wish you guys the best as you have meant so much to me and keep me motivated day after day. I will end this off with one final thank you to the every member of the lmg team for how they each and every one of them have help enriched my life.
  9. The 1060 out preforms the rx 480 in plenty of dx12 enabled games (Tomb Raider, Forza,Gears of War,Total War: Warhammer) to name afew but the performances differences becomes minor like 5fps
  10. the 1060 has great overclocking potential reaching over 2ghz on even reference designs so you might benefit from the aftermarket cooling more on the 1060 as the rx 480 isnt a great overclocker
  11. the i5 4460 is far more powerful than the i3 6100
  12. I would suggest a i5 4460 or i5 6400 depending on if you want ddr3 or ddr4 or what ever you can find cheaper will do great for editing. With a big budget like that it comes down to personal preference for graphics card between the gtx 1060 and rx 480 8gb. The 1060 has 2gb less vram at 6gb but that doesnt really matter it performs about 15% faster than the rx 480 and is just as fast as last generations gtx 980 and can be found lowest price at 250 dollars. The rx 480 8gb model is 10 dollars cheaper and performs around gtx 970 levels but can out perform the 1060 in certain dx12 titles and games with vulkan support (only one game supports it so far doom) due to how poorly the 1060 handles asynchronous compute so with newer games could out perform it
  13. A basic entry level i5 clocked won't bottleneck most cards and doesn't need a fancy cooler. My advice gtx 1060, gtx 970, rx 480, rx 470 minimum if you are spending that much wouldn't even reccomend a gtx 960.Is this build for gaming, video editting or other
  14. @TKUIYEAGER1 Yeah a 950 does not suit that build at all.It is not a good value card
  15. Yes @happyleonardo14 it will definitely bottleneck by how much it depends you would need at least a modern i5 to experience no bottleneck Gregg from science studio has a great video on this very cpu vs a i5 heres the link
