  2. If you could do an external GPU setup through Thunderbolt review/tutorial I would greatly appreciate it.This is the only straight Thunderbolt to PCI adapter I have found so far, also I know you guys at Linus Media Group have an Asus g750 serice laptop so it would be perfect to test it on that. http://www.amazon.com/Akitio-Thunder2-PCIe-Box/dp/B00LTAUTHE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1414986977&sr=8-1&keywords=thunderbolt+2+to+pci+express
  3. @UltraNeonGaming I have never perfomed an overclock before and doing it on a mobile gpu kinda scares me. Would it improve my performance enough to justify overclocking?
  4. I have an Asus g750JM laptop with an Nvidia Geforce GTX860m. I have plenty of cooling, my gpu never gets above 60 degrees celcius even under very heavy load. Is it even possible to seriously overclock a mobile gpu, or are the power supply and cooling going to not alow it?
  5. I KNOW THIS IS A TERRIBLE POST. I DID IT IN A HURRY, AND I WILL EDIT IT LATER. I resently purcahsed an Asus G750JM laptop. I needed something that was powerful and would last me a long time. I went with buying this laptop over others because of the cooling, and the ungradability of the laptop. The specs on this machine are pretty good, with an i7 4700HQ, 12Gb of RAM, Geforce GTX 860m, 1TB (5400rpm) storage, optical drive, and a 17.3in TN display. Sence buying the laptop i have added a Samsung 840evo 240GB SSD into the second hard drive bay. Pros. This laptop is great for gaming, it's not the most powerful mobile graphis, but it gets the job done. I can max out most of the current high demanding games and get 40+ FPS. The prossesor is a great pair for this laptop, it's not the best CPU out there, but it does everything i need it for. This laptop has plenty of RAM at 12GB, but if you need more ram than your in luck, because this laptop supports up to 32GB of ram. The feature that won me over to this laptop over other laptops was the cooling on this laptop. Even under the heaviest loads my GPU has stayed very, very cool. This laptop also has a Thunderbolt port. I personaly love this because it means that I can externally mount a GPU to my laptop via the Thunderbolt port at a later date when i need more graphics power. The keyboard is very nice, good long travel distance and a subtle amount of tatile feadback. Cons. This laptop comes out of the box with a 1TB 5400rpm hard drive. That just is not fast enough for me. The first thing i did was buy an SSD and put it in the sencond hard drive bay. The screen is a TN panel. It's not terrible for gaming, but when surffing the web and sometimes during gaming I can see horizontal lines. This panel the worst part of this laptop, and the laptop would be so much better with an IPS display instead. At about 10lbs the laptop is also very heavy, and the power brick is pretty large too. This is not so much a problem for me, because I'm used to carrying around a heavy backpack, but if you're not used to it then this is going to be a chore for you. It is also hard to find a backpack that this will fit in. I bought and use a Targus Xl backback, which fits this laptop perfectly and it cost around $45. I have'nt put together any benchmarks yet unfortunatly although I'v had it long enough I should have. I hope you found this helpful. Yes. I know this was a short and pretty bad review. I was in a rush making it, and I'v never done a review lik this before so please leave some tips for me to make reviews better. Thanks.
