  1. Now after few test rounds I'll try to sell it to you... So in the pirkinning, there is "lobby". From there you can roam around the island. Activate skin perks, use keys to buy new guns, shoot at a target dummy, start PvP, do a training course and start the PvE run that is the bestest. Oh right, and there is a difficulty stone you can choose easy > normal > hard. PvE has "arena's" in it. They go 3x Kill'em'all > 1x Run away X time > 1x Shopping time > 2x Kill'em'all > 1x Run away for X time > Shopping time > BOSS ROUND. After each arena, you get a chest (or occasionally two - three after boss) and they can have anything from damage to luck perks. Each perk can also get level-ups from the chests/store. Naturally you don't need to loot the chest. You can also scrap it for the gems or what ever the currency is. After that you have option to choose which is your next arena. These change. There might be huge downsides with great rewards (one shotting enemies, but double the rewards etc). First round is "regular" 2nd round is "snow" biome 3rd round is "lava?" biome. After the third round you get an option to go for another loop, or PARTY LIKE IT's 1969 Don't know what the party looks like, cause I'm greedy.. And the game is fun - so i'll get there at some point. I want to open the dual pistols first
  2. So... Everyone knows and loves Noisestorm - Crab Rave. But might have forgotten the one-man-show that it is... And that the game versio has been in the works for a while If you want to give it a go, head out to Steam and get your Early Access to Crab Champions. I know where I'm throwing a tenner today.
  3. Update from my end (solution/resolution). Found a Huawei WA8021V5 from my "what do we have here" electronics pile (people like to give their old gear for me when I fix their newer stuff). Actually think that it was CIB/unused. But anyways.. Now that is setup as the 1st step after 5G and seeing how it had 3 ports, I could have a line going to the main Deco P7 and another going to PoE switch that shares it down to the rest of the house. I did already get some 600-700Mbps downstairs on my PC. Stuff works for now, so I'll just clean the lovely mess later (and maybe get some shorter cables)
  4. In my opinion storage server should be, as the name suggest STORAGE. So a place that you occasionally visit to save/grab something from. And there will be discs just like on your PC inside that STORAGE, so the limitations still exist. Not that that really is much of an limitation.
  5. The installers mouth ran like a minigun, so that detail was most likely somewhere in there He was an older chap, but clearly knew what he was talking about. So I recon he set it so that it'd work correctly. Need to find the papers with the password to ZTE to look inside the settings. "You shouldn't need to touch anything on ZTE. And if there is a problem, call and we'll come fix it." I don't think there's double NAT as I can access my Plex server without any issues on the NAS from outside the network. Same goes for the two Reolink cameras. Now can't be certain, but I do feel that back in the day if one had double NAT (accidentally), everything went to But yeah. First I'll try just connecting the network without the P7 to see if that caused some issues. And also try looking for the password of the 5G unit to look at the setup page.
  6. The placing of the ZTE's power unit makes this awkward. But I do need to test that out if the P7 is causing the bottleneck somehow. Upstairs lobby 2 spot power outlet -> PoE unit for the 5G in one spot & P7 main in extension cord -> 2 Cables from PoE, one is going right next to it for P7, the other one is going trough the wall (with a cable coming from the P7 running side by side at this point) into kidrooms closet -> from the closet it goes again trough another wall into cold-side attic -> 5G gets its cable run trough outside and P7 outgoing goes into PoE for the cameras / link downstairs. All that hassle because service provider classed the attic too cold for power outlet/power unit for the 5G. Seems like that was set to wireless router mode by the SP's 5G intallers (could also be cause it's tagged "recommended"). I did just try to set it to AP but that's another "make changes to everything if you want me to work" can of worms so I'll leave it at that for now (as it works). I'll try to get my hands on 3rd Gigabit to try it if that'd make any change though. Seems like I only have one 10/100 PoE laying around as extra atm.
  7. Mentioned the 3 units just for the mesh part of the message. So the other two are out of the equation. And even if they were in this loop for some odd reason, I'd still question how I'd get 10x download while doing an speedtest But yeah - I have RJ45 coming all the way from that 5G unit down to my PC. E: Actually I think I tried having multiple units connected to the network in the beginning. But it just went down and I had zero interest in looking into if it was possible to connect them all at the same time (most likely some setup somewhere-somewhere).
  8. Hello, hi and thank you for popping in. I will try to explain the structure of my home first and then the problem. January 3rd I upgraded to 5G (expected 500-600Mbps)on our home Interwebs. The unit that is now outside our house is ZTE MC7010 5G. From the 5G unit I get a cable inside the house that goes into one of my TP-LINK Deco P7-units (got 3 for meshing the 2.5floor house). From P7 I have a cable going into TP-LINK TL-SG1005P V2 in the side attic (PoE unit that powers my 2 Reolink 410's outside). From PoE I have cable running downstairs into TP-LINK TL-SG108E. From 108E I got a line going to my PC, my printer, 2x going to my NAS, living room TV PC. So I got lines trough the house and WiFi mesh for phones/tablets. But there is an clitch in the Matrix. Speedtest.net or Netflix's Fast.com I get 50Mbps:ish. Now it'll get interesting (at least for me).. Remember how I mentioned that the first step is my P7 mesh main unit? It has an app for phone. Open the Deco app on my phone > Test Internet Speed (and at the same time, running speedtest again on my PC) Speedtest.net or Netflix's Fast.com I get now 500Mbps:ish So my question is... Why do I need to tickle my P7 to get my internet speeds up to what they actually are supposed to be? Trying to figure out if it's something at my end or is this a call for my service provider to do their magic... I'm lost
  9. So yeah.. This actually took way more time than I thought - but I finally got it. QNAP TS-251+ and 2x WD Red 2TB Copying pictures/Karaoke DVD images and whatnot that has been taking my dropbox/HDD space atm. Super easy to setup.. Few things took a moment to actually understand, but still 95% plug&play I'd say. Happy happy joy joy - thanks everyone for your hints, suggestions and comments.
  10. My girlfriend for 9years is an non-techie, while I'm here sitting behind my two screen PC.. But she does love her books - and oh boy are we running out of space in my 55m2 apartment. So from there I think she would benefit and enjoy the most ; Amazon Kindle Voyage 6" (wifi versio). .com : http://www.amazon.com/High-Resolution-Display-Adaptive-PagePress-Sensors/dp/B00IOY8XWQ .co.uk : http://www.amazon.co.uk/High-Resolution-Display-Adaptive-PagePress-Sensors/dp/B00IOY524S Naturally the co.uk would be better option for me _if_ I'd be one of the lucky ones.
  11. http://www.mcmaster.com/#brass-standoffs/=zp06b1 Just noticed they were linked up there by hk29.. ..but I'm not 100% which of these are they. My search has given me info/indication that the one's we're looking are 6-32's. E: But it would indeed be helpful if Linus could link the actual items
  12. Sony MDR RF810R for me. Were on a discount and I do love to listen stuff while doing chores too. Sound ain't the best (have had better) but enough for me. Recommend just hitting the stores and testing out the stuff to your head. I know I've had some headphones that "killed" my ears (too tight/caused sweating due to the material etc).
  13. Well you could buy some NFC tags and WOL your PC with your phone. http://timtijssens.blogspot.fi/2013/07/start-up-your-pc-using-nfc.html I do own Tasker and I have spare tags but been too lazy to setup this as my PC is on close to 24/7 ((C: 16 bootup's - 2432hours uptime // D: 165 bootup's - 33673hours uptime))
  14. My head is drawing blanks here... What are those tap-on ez-lok thingies Linus is tapping to the wood part for motherboard standoffs? https://youtu.be/ytpK6nhsfqI?t=8m35s
  15. Great comments and detailed pro's / con's.. So now it's just down to the ££ Gotta get myself to speed on the saving part then. Now that there's more comments on different devices - how was the first time setup for you? I mean, I'm a techsavvy and will get er done no problem.. But is there going to be times when I go "wtf just happened?". Is it 1-2-3-go or is there some hurdles that need to be conquered before you can enjoy a good NAS?
