  2. I do realize its not meant for home use however alot of things that are made for business end up trickling down into the home market like the Titan for example
  3. Source = http://www.itnews.com/internet/63710/28tbps-undersea-fiber-backed-google-china-telecom-nec-goes-live It looks interesting but the trouble is it wont be coming to the UK and it also wont be coming to the consumer market for a long time just like Google fibre its self. Opinions and thoughts -Cm
  4. Its funny because he's right he has some good legit points but worded in such a bad way he will get in so much S*** over this and probably will lose his job if not he will lose all credibility.

  8. http://www.itnews.com/desktop-pcs/63555/apple-oses-overtake-windows-2015-says-gartner#sthash.U9UURBAh.dpuf " Sales of devices based on Apple's Mac OS and iOS will overtake those of products running all flavors of Windows in 2015, a Gartner analyst predicted Monday. The switch in leadership would come roughly 13 years after Steve Jobs reinvented Apple, launching the iPod and plotting the company on a new path that has seen it conquer and define new markets, beginning with music players and continuing through cellphones and tablet computers. Last year, shipments of products running Windows still handily outnumbered those running Mac OS and iOS, by 347 million to 213 million, according to figures from Gartner published Monday. The lead will be slashed to 23 million in 2014, and the Apple OSes will likely outnumber Windows devices in 2015, said Carolina Milanesi, research vice president at Gartner. "When you break down the numbers, Apple is already leading the consumer market. They are selling more than Windows today," said Milanesi in a phone interview. "Microsoft remains relevant thanks to enterprise and professional users. " Personally I dont think this will happen because enthusiasts will always want windows based OS's even if they make a hackentosh Apple may lead the mobile market at the moment but android is going to overtake that anytime soon Whats your opinions? I wont be swapping to anything Apple anytime soon -Cm
  9. Western Digital to acquire sTec to expand in enterprise SSDs - http://www.itnews.com/ssd/63563/western-digital-acquire-stec-expand-enterprise-ssds#sthash.WNMOGIek.dpuf " Western Digital plans to acquire sTec to boost its presence in the market for enterprise solid-state drives. The two companies have signed a definitive agreement under which sTec will be acquired by HGST, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Western Digital, for about US$340 million in cash. " What does this mean?, to me this means more storage options from WD who are already a big presece in the storage market what do you all think good? bad? why bother? I personally am very excited I have been holding out for a while to get an SSD this could be just the thing to push me over to SSDs for all my systems -Cm
  10. Ive been using the Tablet version on my Nexus 4 and 7 I found that if you go into advanced and set the space bar to always insert a space it helps out a little. And also have the predictions set to learn what you type so it gets used to your typing style. Hopes this helps a little -CM

  12. I personally think AD is going to be the best option for large families with that large data rate large homes where running a cable and power line isnt an option
  13. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IEEE_802.11 This is something I stumbled across while looking around for 802.11y speeds. What are the benefits of this in my opinion this will be useful for large areas/buildings with wireless networks for Staff and guests with the theoretical 7000 mbits data stream this would allow for more people on the network allowing for less saturation. This is just what I think could happen whats your opinions on this? could it be a viable option for large complexes or is it still to slow
