  1. If you want my opinion, go with the Asus z97-A instead, you seem to want a gold color scheme, and that would go nicely. You also don't seem to have a psu, I would advise the EVGA g2 750 if you want to go sli down the road, otherwise a high quality 500 watt would do nicely. But seriously, save yourself the headache, and get a z97 board.
  2. Hi, I have read in a few different places that the MSI Gaming 5 and the 4690k won't function together without a Bios update. Most of these complaints happened back in July when I figure the new Devils Canyon line was launched though. My question is; Will they work, or will I have to update the bios? (which I really don't want to do) Thanks
  3. I'm thinking of using the MSI Gaming 5 along with an i5 4690k, I've read in multiple different places that this board, even though it's z97 needs a bios update to work with Haswell refresh. I've found many builds that use these parts with no apparent problem though. Does anyone know if this poses a problem still? Or have the newer boards been updated, so the ones in box work with these newer cpus Thanks
  4. Out of those 2 choices 980 and 8gb. If I were you I wouldn't go for the new x99 platform, and ddr4. It's more future proof sure, but get a z97 mobo 4690k and 8gb of ddr3
  5. It's still a fantastic card, your psu could power three of those systems though, can i recommend this? http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ALYORA4/?tag=pcpapi-20 Or this if you don't care about extra cables this is even cheaper http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0092ML1SC/?tag=pcpapi-20
  6. I feel the same way, as far as I can see there is nothing with a side window that really compares to it. The corsair spec series maybe... but they are not as high quality and the design is far from elegant
  7. Exactly, sorry. Unless you really want to go overkill the 750ti is fine. obiously the 760 itx is better but im not sure if it fits.
  8. Why not go for a 750ti? Look up Austin Evans Meson on Youtube that thing will smash the xbox one and ps4. 760 itx might fit as well
  9. I'm planning to put together a great gaming, (plus general internet, school projects etc) rig. i5 4690k Gigabyte GA-Z97MX gaming 5 G. Skill Sniper 1866mhz 4x2gb kit 120gb 840 evo 350d windowed Obviously this is not complete, and i will probably add either a gtx 970 or a 960 depending on price and benchmarks when the latter comes out. I have a old 750 gb hdd for mass storage, a reused 500w antec psu for power, and because of this cases awesome design I will probably add a h100i when I amass the funds. Any advice would be appreciated, and hell if you think you can do better for under $1100 Canadian preferably with shipping included be my guest. Only issue is I don't want to go much bigger with the case. Thanks
  10. Does anyone have any familiarity with the antec earthwatts ea-500d 500w psu? It should be fine for the gtx 970 but still some input would be nice
  11. Thanks for the great videos guys!!! You inspired me to build my own computer (which I will be doing around Christmas time). It's fantastic for me to have a quality channel which reviews products that i can actually get in Canada, with such a great attitude. Keep up the great work!!!!!
