  1. It'll be fetching data off the HDD hence the dip due to seek times involved, could try defragging it. Or try putting the game on your SSD temporarily to see if that solves the problem.
  2. Been using the Asus DSL-AC68U for a while but only on ADSL, the firmware was terrible to start with but has got a lot better. Not a clue bout the vdsl side of things tho I believe Openreach no longer give out modems at all and the HH5 is adsl/vdsl compatible
  3. Afraid I cant really help you there, maybe caseking.de would be willing to send you one, they haven't got them listed on their site tho. Other than that it might just be eBay, when people buy the windowed side panel and want to get rid of the mesh version
  4. Because the Phenom and the Prodigy are so similar the mesh side panel from a Prodigy might fit the Phemon, if so ur best bet would be the mesh side panel and a 230mm Spector Pro at the front.
  5. it looks like a disk version, u could always email them to check before ordering. The product key will either be printed on the disk it self or attached to the cd case
  6. yes OEM software is for anyone making their own pc and it will install just like the normal version, u just dont get the pretty box
  7. Correct me if im wrong but dont u usually use green for front channel stereo then orange for centre channel and subwoofer. If thats the case u can use basically any sound solution :)
  8. I've had a play with it using Linux Mint and a dongle using the Rafael Micro R820T, only problem is i live in a village so there isnt much 'city traffic' to pick up :( Also seems to be a switch mode power supply or something causing lots of noise down in the 10-12m range, which kills any amateur radio traffic there could be.
  9. I think the issue is that it's a USB Wireless adapter, using the ndiswrapper package u should be able to get Mint to use the Windows driver. U'll need the orginal driver cd tho, unless u download them. Here's a link to some instructions on the Ubuntu site that should work fine, i'd run a search on the repositories for a Netgear WN111 driver first tho. https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/Driver/Ndiswrapper
  10. Now thats one end of things u don't usually hear about, but u know what they say, "It's not size that matters, it's how you use it" I'd like to know that to Wauther, doesnt say on the data sheet for the Seasonic P1000 i have, but im guessing most mid to high end ones can do it
  11. OpenSuSe, Mint Cinnamon or Backtrack. Ubuntu is way to simplified for my taste and is hardly customisable compared to most linux distros
  12. TimeToLiveCustoms - is good and goes massively in depth Razethew0rld - like most have said is good, especially the Tek episodes, great news u wouldnt normally hear about SingularityComputers - absolutely awesome watercooled client builds
  13. The UK regulator Ofcom is starting a pilot programme to utilize the 'white space' technology, the 'white spaces' being the frequencies between other frequencies to minimise interference between them. If successful it could be rolled out by 2014 and hopefully won't cause interference problems for existing communications.
