  1. Forgot to mention, 65-70 under load (gaming for example). Not possible, since, as I stated before, Afterburner can't recognize what card is plugged in, because drivers crash all the time. Now that I think of it, maybe it overheated once and it caused some sort of microcrack or something. I can't be sure since it's not my PC.
  2. Hey everybody, My friend has a GTX460 SE for a couple of years now. Had no problems at all, then all of a sudden while gaming there was a huge fps drop and then some strange artifacts appeared. Rebooting the system solved the problem for the first time. Upon second boot the next morning drivers crashed and failed to recover. Today I tried to boot the PC but it never would, after Windows loading, it would always bluescreen and restart immediately, so no luck in reading what's wrong. PC only starts in safe mode and there are no lags neither there are any artifacts present. I uninstalled new drivers and looked thorough nVidia's driver history and downloaded the stable one (the one before GTA V driver). It managed to boot normally but it doesn't show any info about GPU. Not in the device manager, not even in Afterburner. GPU was never overclocked and temperatures were around 65-70 degrees, which is pretty normal. I opened the card and haven't noticed any dust, cracks or something that would raise my suspicion, so I believe it has to be software failure. P.S. The Windows is clean, it's a complete fresh install after formatting both partitions. So malware is out of question too. Any ideas?
  3. Oddly enough it was working perfectly. I switched back to 8, because start button and none of metro stuff was working.
  4. So I've been trying to fix it for 4 hours and then decided to update BIOS and it worked afterwards. So this is what helped me. Just an updated if anyone stumbles across the same issue.
  5. BIOS hasn't any option regarding GPU, as far as I can tell. I'll maybe try fresh install and see what happens then. Again..
  6. Nope, it just as there was no additional GPU. Haven't checked BIOS, I'll be back as soon as I do.
  7. It is switchable. The exact model is ASUS K52JC. I know that I can switch between intel and nvidia, it's just that it's not an option anymore.
  8. Don't mind the language, I think you can guess what is what.
  9. If you mean nVidia's GPU device ID, no can do, because it won't even show itself in device manager. Otherwise I'd like to ask you to specify what you want me to do, I know what driver I need, it's just it won't install it.
  10. GeForce Experience won't install, as I've mentioned above. It doesn't detect that I have an nVidia card in my laptop. Gimme a sec.
  11. So, you're suggesting that I, format both C(system) and D(everything else) partitions and try from scratch? I've never stumbled on a problem, where D drive would mess up system's work.
  12. I did a clean install, I've jsut chosen the wrong term. English is not my first language. The odd thing is that It worked normally, after I reinstalled the OS. It then just sort of gave up and I can't figure out what the heck is going on.
  13. Hey everybody! I've been trying Windows 10 for couple of weeks, and it's been great and all, but after it updated itself to build 9266 (or something like that) start button and whole Metro stuff stopped working and I rolled back to Windows 8 I had before. After rolling back I was installing drivers as usually. While installing drivers for my Logitech MX518 I got blue screen of death and after that my laptop won't detect nVidia GPU I have. The only one shown in the device manager is Intel integrated HD adapter. Laptop is: Asus k52j Intel core i5 M430 2.27 GHz 4 gb ddr3 memory and I used to have nVidia 310m video card. The things I tried: Completely formatting system drive and re-installing Windows. No luck. Tried re-installing GPU drivers, but installation fails while checking system compatibility with error "This graphics driver didn't find compatible hardware". Erasing every nVidia file I had on my laptop then booting in safe mode and trying to install from there. No luck. I remember, that I've already had this problem and somehow I've fixed it, but I can't recall what I did, so I'm asking you guys for help. Thanks.

  15. This format is very good. I'd like to see more DIY stuff too. I remember, when I just started watching your videos like 3-4 years ago, back when you used to unbox stuff at the parking lot I didn't even know what CPU socket was. I've learned so much from you and DIY is a great way to share some knowledge.
