  1. thank you guys alot, i figured that was better lol
  2. Hello community. I built my PC in August with an r9 270x 4GB from sapphire. It can run nearly everything very well at 1080p on high and sometimes max settings. The reason i want a a new GPU is to run games like Witcher 3, Total War: Attila and games to come in the next couple years. I also want to be able to play at 4k down the road whenever i want to buy a monitor. So, would it be a better choice to buy a 980 or two 970's? I'm poor at decision making. I'm done with AMD by the way lol.
  3. We all know how fast GPU tech is moving. The 980 was released late summer 2014 and now the Titan X was recently released. I've seen countless videos praising the 980 for its price for performance and I am wondering if buying one early this summer would be worth the $550+. Right now, I only have a 1080p monitor and have an r9 270x 4GB. I want a new beefy card that will allow me to destroy absolutely any game at 1080p and play at 1440 if I ever decide to move up. I'll take any feedback, luv u sweetums bye.

  6. AMD ships in that range are good and so are intel. in the lower end of chips however, AMD wins in most cases. as you go up the totem, Intel begins to destroy AMD. FOr cost to power ratio, AMD normally takes the cake. I'm ssaying this as a fan boy of neither. I personally have an i7 4790k so no AMD fan boy here.
  7. IDK if I will RMA them B'cause I kinda need my PC for things and an RMA can take a long time....I have the money to buy a kit now, I might wait til a new kit comes in then RMA the other one. Then id have 16GB's I guess lol IDK
  8. they were in the other two slots first then someone told me that they needed to be in the sots closest to the cpu so i switched them. this was after it began locking up so dont worry about that
  9. Well, I used one stick in the slot, it locked up, then I put the other stick in the same slot and so far it has not locked up.
  10. it either gave out after a month or did not show defects until a month after. MY PC would lock up endlessly.
  11. HI, One of my RAM sticks in my G-Skill Ares 8GB kit was bad. I was wondering if I buy another 8GB kit if I could use the one I still have and have a total of 12GB of DDR3 in my Rig. MY specs are on my profile if you need them, thank you so much.
  12. The new hard drive did not solve the lock ups, starting to think that is is a motherboard issue. after realizing that the new HDD did not solve the problems. I then went and ruled out a bad PCI-E slot by unplugging my GPU from the top slot and putting it in the bottom. Still locked up. I am testing RAM now by using one stick then the other
  13. installing windows on a new boot drive, I was told by my friend's dad who helped me build it that it sounds like it is a boot drive issue. he gave me an older 750GB HDD,
  14. now how does heateroony effect that kind sir?
  15. okay so I have a small space heater next to my pc. when I am not gaming, I turn it on to keep my PC warm....never locks up with tthe heater on it. I have confirmed that is is in fact a heat issue...but a lack of heat issue? Some part in my PC is faulty im guessing, I know the PSU and GPU's are fine because I have tested them time and time again. Any other suggestions?
  16. kk, i know that it is always on default
