  1. It's a wired controller, a wireless and an adapter is $60 on amazon which is not really worth it to me.
  2. I found a mirrors edge catalyst xbone controller, however I can't seem to get it to work though. It doesn't detect any drivers when I plug it in and it doesn't work with any of the drivers I've downloaded from Microsoft. I'm running win 7 64b. Anyone else have this controller and have been able to get it to work?
  3. I've been gaming at 1440p for a while and while the sli 970s have been killing it in most games, sometimes they have issues getting good fps in some games. Especially games with either no or bad sli support. Both cards are g1 gaming and under 8 months old but with how good the new cards look would I even be able to get $550 for the pair?
  4. I was kinda hoping there would be more out there now but oh well. Guess I'm going with the acer because cheaper, better reviews > extra 20fps
  5. Wait it doesn't? I could have sworn I saw something about it being implemented in December
  6. Mostly a mass storage for movies tv shows and the like. I do some light video editing stuff but honestly not all that much anymore. I guess I'll go with the black it uses slightly less power and gives off slightly less noise than the pro red it seems, so thanks!
  7. Individually tested them when I got them in mgsv, they performed almost identically then, the oc is like +15 or something crazy small just because I don't really have a reason to push them right now. It could be the sli bridge though I didn't think of that, I had some issues with it a while ago but it's been fine since then.
  8. I want to upgrade to a 1440p monitor that has g-sync, an ips panel, and runs at +80hz overclocking or otherwise. I've found a few that look fine but I've read some reviews about them being either dead on arrival or having major issues. I looked into upgrading almost a year ago but now there's hopefully more than 2 options on the market so any recommendations would be awesome.
  9. Specs in signature. I'm planning on finally splurging on a monitor that will be able to push my system. But I'm starting to have concerns about the performance I would get. Currently I'm at 1920x1200 at 60hz and I notice fps drops into the mid 40s in AAA games. I'm not really sure why this is happening but both cards are lightly overclocked and msi afterburner shows up that they're being used. Turning down graphics like shadows and god rays usually fixes it but I'm surprised that I have to at all. Fallout 4 is the biggest game I'm playing right now and a single 970 averages 80fps on ultra, so why is my performance constantly dropping with 2? I do have a handful of mods but none of them would impact performance (at least I hope a new gun or a different hud wouldn't impact it) EDIT: Tested individually about 8 months ago both worked almost identically then, tried turning off the light oc didn't notice any changes still getting some drops during combat or in dense areas. Possibly the sli bridge? I had issues with screen flickering about 6 months ago but taking it off and then just re-inserting it fixed it.
  10. How are they compared to the pro reds? They have the same performance but reds tend to run quieter/cooler usually right?
  11. I'm looking for a hard drive that can store 2+ terabytes, is 7200rpm. and is rated to run for at least 6 hours a day. I've been looking for a while and was planning on spending no more than $150 but the longer I look the more options I have and the less sure I am. I've found a handful of Toshiba drives that are under $100 and have the same specs/performance as wd reds but I don't really know anything about them. I haven't really payed any attention to the hard drive space recently so I don't really know what brands are considered super reliable or are rated well anymore. The drive would be mostly mass media storage and games that I either don't play often or things like league of legends that wouldn't really benefit from being on an SSD
  12. I will admit that the fans are a bit loud and are slightly louder than my krakens pump but I can't hear them much sitting about 8 feet away
  13. the windforce and g1 gaming are different line of cards, side note my card has an asic of 80.5% on the primary card and 66% on the secondary card, sounds like you got unlucky.
  14. Top card is 1460 bottom is 1300, :^/ seems like they're just average but nothing special
