  1. Never had an overclock on it. Left tried clearing the CMOS twice before, ended up leaving the battery out all night. I've left it unplugged even logger. Still same issue when it try to turn it on.
  2. My computer has been operating without a hitch since May of 2017. All of a sudden though, after I had shut down my PC for the night, the following day, I go to turn on my PC, all the lights and fans start up for about 2 seconds and then everything goes dark. I check all my connections and hardware components and they all check out fine (except for the motherboard and cpu since I don't have other computers to check those from.). I watched as the computer goes through its first initial bootup, the CPU light turns on, then the DRAM, then the VGA, and then for a split second the CPU light, then it shuts down. Only light that stay illuminated is the Power LED on the front of the case. I cant wrap my mind around what went wrong. The only thing that changed with my PC was that it ran a few windows updates before it shut down for the night. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
  3. I've been using some generic strips that I got off ebay. You can cut them to whatever size you want and then use rgb extension cables to connect them. Cablemod also makes some pretty nice premium wide beam LEDs.
  4. And we have power! Guess letting sit for a couple hours helped. Don't know how but it did. Thanks!
  5. Well shoot. I went to reseat the CPU and it came out with my cooling block. Hope I didn't lose any pins. Well I guess I'll just plug it back in and wait a while.
  6. Alright I'll give that a go, but shouldn't the MOBO still at least have some power lights on when power is applied?
  7. They should be. I've reseated all cables at least three times now as well as checked proper polarity connections.
  8. So I just finished building up my brand new Ryzen build with a 1600x, 16gb of Corsair Vengeance LPX, and a gtx 960. However when I turn on the power, the only light I get is from my gpu. No other power is visible on the board nor do I even get a post. I really hope I don't have a dead board. Any suggestions?
  9. Dang. Was hoping for a little more but I guess that's to be expected with an old board.
  10. So I've had this board for about 8 months running as a NAS and was wanting to upgrade to an actual server board with ECC. The board has had a bit of a hard past with a torn pcie port (not by me) but was able to repair it. It's bottom pcie port unfortunately is dead but it's only an 8x slot. What would you people consider to be an acceptable price since I've been doing some research on prices for them however they are fairly rare to find and seem over priced on used markets.
  11. I had the same problem with an ssd i bought off ebay as well. Happened to die do to the previous owner not properly cleaning the mineral oil off the inside of the drive. If you contact the seller and are nice and honest, then 9 times out of 10 they will help. If not then open a claim through ebay and theyll step in and refund.
  12. I just wiped it with a white cloth and its just clear. Can barely see it with my own eyes.
  13. Well like @Godlygamer23 said, over time it'll corrode away but you should be good.
  14. I feel that it should survive. How bad is the corrosion?
