  1. Hello everyone , It seems that i can not play a video(movie or something) and play a game at the same time. When the Video Player window that i am using is in the foreground, video plays fine, but if i click on the game window and the Player goes in the background the video start to lag, sound is fine its just the video that starts freezing out. Tried playing movies with lots of video players (VLC/GomPlayer/BSplayer/MediaPlayerClassic) etc, the outcome is the same. I know its not a PC issue and i am 99% sure that it is caused by windows. I am running Dual 24inch monitors. Pc specs are: CPU:Intel Core i7 4790k. GPU:Amd radeon r9 290 Ram:G.Skill 16gb 1600mhz SSD:Samsung 830 128gb HDD:3x2TB Thanks in advance !!!
  2. Pump is connected on the cpu fan header and on the AI suite software there is no pump speed so i would say that the sofwater does make any changes on the pump speed but after all the pump is supposed to run 100% all the time and only the fans of the radiator should change depending the on cpu temp. What i would like to figure out is why did this happen to me TWICE!!
  3. Hello guys, Well when i made my pc i bought CM nepton 240m and after 2 months of use the pump died so i RMA'd the unit and got a replacement and guess what after 2 weeks (this time) of use the pump died again. Both times this happend to me,i had the pc open for like 2-4 days and after i shut it down, the next day when i tried to power it up the watercooler was dead. CPU:i7 4790k Mobo:Asus Maximus VII hero I really dont want to rma this one again and get a replacement and have the same thing happen once again. I am using AI suite fan tuning to setup my pc fans just wondering if that is causing the issue. If someone has any input on the matter please help or advice me on what i should do from now on. Thanks in advance.
  4. hello, Well some time ago i bought the coolermaster nepton 240m and after 2 months of use the pump died so i send it back to get a replacement and today it arrived!! After i installed it for some reason the pc wont boot !!! It does power on and everything is working pump lights , pc fans , mobo everything looks ok but there is no singal going on the monitor. I tried reinstalling the stock cooler to see if there was another issue with the computer but with the stock cooler the pc is booting fine!! Is there a chance this unite is also dead cause it looks like its working!! Mobo:asus maximus vii hero Cpu:intel i7 4790k
  5. Hello everyone , Build: Mobo:Asus Maximus VII Hero Cpu:i7 4790k Well 2 months ago i bought CoolerMaster Nepton 240m and it has been working great for this past months but yesterday i opened up my pc and when it loged into windows the fans on the radiator started to go crazy to keep the cpu from overhiting.I checked the temps and the cpu was at 90c and for some reason there was no RPM measure for the pump of the watercooler so i restarted the pc and once again 0 rpm on the pump. I then changed the pump from CPU fan header to CPU opt but still 0 or N/A rpm. Then i tried on one of the system fans but still no rpm. I then checked the tubes on the watercooler and for some reason one of the tubes was getting way to hot and this is exacly where its connected in the pump. I am using the RoG Dual intelligent Proccesor software to check temps etc for my mobo-fans and the build in fan expert to measure and make a profile for my Fans Rpm. So now i put back in the stock CPU cooler and thinking of RMAing the watercooler. When i started taking apart the water cooler there wasnt so much thermal paste left on the cpu and the watercooler block is this a factor for no RPM on the pump? Does anyone have any other suggestions i could try to maybe resolve the issue???
  6. Kraken g10 and hg10 give pretty much the same results and if u overclock on both u can get up to 100c on the vrms. My budget is around 150-200 euros.I aready have my cpu on AIO water cooler and going for the gpu only the waterblock cost about 150euros plus all the rest i need , its going over what i can afford. Kraken g10 and corsair hg10 give pretty much the same result on the vrms side of things so u arent going to see any big difference. As i said getting that gelid kit here in greece its going to cost me another 25-30 euros witch i dont think is worth it when with the air cooling option i can get way better results with lower cost!!
  7. Hello everyone!! So as the title says i have a sapphire r9 290 reference card and i want to change the cooler on the card. Going with the Air cooling option the my best bet from what i have seen show far. From all the research i have done i have come across this 3 solutions: WaterCooling options: Option One: Nzxt Kraken G10 + Corsair Hydro h75 135 Euro Or Option Two: Corsair HG10 + Corsair Hydro h75 150 Euro Issue with this two options: The issue with this options are the Vrms1 and Vrm2 temperatures. Because i live in Greece the weather here especially in the summer is too hot so room temperature can go up to 35c in the summer. So alot of people are saying that u can adress this issue by using Vrm and Ram heatsink sold by Gelid or some other once, but for me cause there is no store that sells heatsinks of any kind, my only option is to buy them from ebay/amazon etc but then i would have to pay ~25-30 euros for taxes to ship them here in greece. Air Cooling Options: Raijintek Morpheus + 2 great silet fans 110 Euro Issues: Gpu takes up to 4 pci slots. Reviews: Water cooling: Kraken G10 review Corsair hg10 review Air Cooler : 1st review , just look for the numbers(its in german) 2nd review 3rd and most detailed review i can find
  8. gpu:shappire r9 290 reference psu:coolermaster v550s 80 plus gold SSD:samsung 830 pro 128gb HDD:2 300gb hdds and 1 2tb 7200rpm sata 3 case: nzxt source 530
  9. @salecar3 @lani100 @Faceman Thank you for the reply's guys , i am really happy everythink look alright. Now i am just waiting for my h75 and nzxt g10 to get my Gpu under water cooling and i am done and ready to rock !! Thanks again everyone!!
  10. Hello everyone, I am just making this post to make sure my temps are alright. Mobo:Asus maximus vii hero CPU:4790k 4,4ghz stock. Cpu cooler: CoolerMaster Nepton 240m Room temperature is ~26c Radiator:Its place on the top of the case with the fans on the bottom blowing the air through the radiator and out of the case. Thermal Paste:Arctic Silver ceramique 2 i didnt use the one that came wiith the AIO water cooler. Benchamrked with intel extreme tunning utility. Captured the temps with real temp and intel extreme tunning utility reported a max temp of 79c. The volts on the chip are stock 1.248 idle-1.273max. What do u guys think??
  11. Yea,i also think going with the g10 is the best option after all.I just looked around the g10 owners club and most of the people are happy with what they have so alright its done , i finally have my answer. So, i will really like to thank you once more for helping me out like u did. I would probably had made a wrong decision if u wherent around to point me out some key factors. Once again a BIG THANK YOU @Faceman ,take care!!
  12. I really cant agree more with you,so to put an end to all this i think i made up my mind and i will be going with the corsair hydro h75+kraken g10 and be done with it . There is really no point in going with something other than this i think.
  13. I just made some reaserch around and found out about the Corsair hg10. Its abit more expensive than the kraken but its build in a way thats fixes the whole issue with the vrm/ram . So yeah i will be staying on the watercooling solution for the gpu and will be going with the corsair hg10 and one of the corsair AIO coolers. I would really like to thank you very much @Faceman for spending all this time over and over answering me , you have been very helpfull i really appreciate it.
  14. Okay i did know about the corsair but i had no idea it was made like that , i mean its directly the solution i was looking for. U just made my day , thank you very much.
  15. Look as i said, there is a post on the watercooling section. My first option was to go with corsair hydro h55+kraken g10 and be done with it. The downside with this is the vrms going to hot. There is a gelid heatsink kit for r9 290 i can use but i cant find it here in greece. Thats why i am also looking for some air cooling option. If i had a way to fix the vrm/ram problems i would already have gone with the AIO watercooling option.
