  1. I purchased a Zotac GTX 970 Extreme Core edition card a while back, and have just recently started overclocking it. http://www.zotac.com/products/graphics-cards/geforce-900-series/product/geforce-900-series/detail/geforce-gtx-970-amp-extreme-core-edition-zt-90107-10p/sort/starttime/order/DESC/amount/10/section/specifications.html The power limit won't go past 106%, and after speaking to the Zotac rep. I found that adjusting the voltage doesn't actually effect the stability of the overclock with the new way Nvidia cards handle voltage. Upon further investigation I have discovered the overclocking potential of this card to be entirely dependent on power limit, and not over-voltage. The sad part is, I'm only able to get the core to around 1.5 Ghz ( 1500 Mhz ) because the power limit only goes up to 106% in MSI afterburner and all other overclocking software I've tried. I booted up the default Vbios in Maxwell BIOS tweaker and saw this in the power section: What setting should I change to bump the power limit up to 115% or 120%?

  3. Actually yes, the FCC regulated how much bandwidth each cell provider can use and that's one of the reasons almost all of the unlimited plans have disappeared. Why is Mark Cuban's opinions invalid because he's a wealthy guy who knows about TV?
  4. In 2001 the courts and congress ruled the FCC had no right to regulate the internet. That's exactly what they just did.
  5. The way the FCC did this actually wasn't legal, and the court cases that follow this ruling by the FCC will show that. It could have been done with a simple bill through the house and senate. It also probably could have been fixed by allowing services like google fiber to use existing underground pathways and thus increase competition for bad ISPs. Out of all the ways they could have kept Net Neutrality, they used the most sketchy, backdoor, and illegal way to do it, and it's going to bite us in the butt later.
  6. Indeed. They've passed several bills and regulations like this and the Affordable Care Act without anyone even reading them. In fact, the political system is so messed up that when bills are being voted on, legislators make jokes like this: "We have to pass the bill to found out what's in it!" [ Skip to 0:30 ] This guy wants to force legislatures to read bills and legislation and post them online:

Mark Cuban gives very interesting point of view on the FCC decision about title 2 and net neutrality. He claims that Net Neutrality is a great thing, but handing the FCC the power to make laws like this is very dangerous. He points out that the FCC attacked TV stations for years after Super Bowl XXXVIII halftime show because of 'nipplegate' [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Bowl_XXXVIII_halftime_show_controversy] and they have a terrible record of censoring entertainment. The more I investigate the FCC's track record, the more I find that while Net Neutrality needs to happen ASAP, using the FCC to do this was very brash and a scary action for anyone who enjoys an uncensored internet. Cuban said: The video in the article is very much so worth watching.
  8. Been trapped with a FX 6350 bottlenecking my GTX 970 for a while... I really need to get out of AMD crappy single thread performance thing, my modded skyrim runs terrible. =[ I'd LOVE an i7
  9. oh, sorry. Lets see what mods do. I have more verification links and quotes. =]
  10. Yeah, when I read this it pissed me off pretty intensely.
  11. Main Sources: http://goo.gl/MKxnfd http://goo.gl/5iQhND http://goo.gl/U2qITH The next assassins creed title has been leaked before Unity has been fully patched for all platforms. From Ubisoft themselves: TL;DR: WTF, next Assassins Creed leaked before Unity is totally fixed.
  12. I actually had this card... My PCB wasn't blue, and it looked awesome to me. =/
  13. It would have worked better if you over-clocked your baby Linus, I think the child is your bottleneck. =P
  14. I actually own one of the Zotac AMP! Extremes and it's just incredible. It was shipped in a 980 box BTW. Every game I've played has been CPU bottlenecked so far, nothing restricted by GPU speed.
