    I wouldn't bother with the 660s on SLI either. But, I totally disagree about how 3GB VRAM is going to be the minimum. I see 2GB being the absolute minimum for the foreseeable future. I would recommend the r9 295 or the gtx 960 for his upgrades.

    When? After all the ticks were done. Remove the disk and boot it up. All the files are copied to your SSD. At least for Vista and 7. I pulled out the disc on my first 8 install, so try that

    Do you have the disc in yr drive? I done that once on a Vista install and once I pulled it out it was fine

    Don't get shit, get something with USB-3 and the chipset you want. For example, if I wanted to get a motherboard for my build with an Intel Haswell-E CPU, I would look up reviews, find one with loads of USB 3 or in the future, USB Type C and if I wanted to do overclocking, I would get a Z97 chipset mobo

    Host 24/7 game servers on it! Heck, do something like a free game server hoster! Host low-demanding games like CS1.6, Minecraft, Doom etc.

    Change the 980 to 2 970s in SLI and it might do BF4 5760*1080 ultra at around 40-50. Way over budget, but his needs are too much for his bank account
