  1. First build is better performance wise in almost everyway for most applications. The second build has a lot of extras fancy things that are not necessary like that cpu cooler and more expensive power supply.
  2. At this point I would just buy a second cheap used pc and control/use it via remote access.
  3. As for right now this prebuilt trumps those offering by a lot. This prebuilt is 100$ cheaper and have a GTX 1070 and a 240 ssd. https://www.amazon.com/iBUYPOWER-Desktop-9200-i7-8700K-Graphics/dp/B078H7WQ8B/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1521292318&sr=8-3&keywords=prebuilt%2Bpc&dpID=51x%2Bov9d56L&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch&th=1
  4. What build can you considering with ironside (parts and price) so I can compare. Also what games in particular do you want to play at what resolution and frames?
  5. What monitor do you currently have? I would honestly upgrade than CPU first rather than your GPU and would recommend that you always avoid crossfire or sli for gaming in general. A single card options is usually the better choice.
  6. You might need to consider a external sound card if the motherboard has too much electrical noise(causes buzzing). You should judge for yourself and test if you notice anything first before committing though.
  7. How much watt does your power supply have and also how much ram do you currently have?
  8. Maybe a microphone stand since your workspace is kinda cluttered. Cheap: https://www.amazon.com/Etubby-Microphone-Suspension-Adjustable-Microphones/dp/B06XKTM5W6/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1521057544&sr=8-4&keywords=blue+yeti+mic+stand#customerReviews Not Cheap(I own this one): https://www.amazon.com/RODE-Swivel-Mount-Studio-Microphone/dp/B001D7UYBO/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1521057544&sr=8-13&keywords=blue+yeti+mic+stand
  9. Can you tell me the laptop name.
  10. The main advantage of the 1050TI compared to the 1050 is the 4gb vram as opposed to just having 2gb on the 1050. When you run out of it, everything goes to shit. The 1050 ti is more or less 10-15% stronger than the 1050. I would really recommend that you save for the 1050ti but a 1050 is better than nothing. http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-1050-Ti-vs-Nvidia-GTX-1050/3649vs3650
  11. Maybe consider getting 8gb of ram instead 16gb and use that money to get a 144hz TN monitor or a larger 27" IPS monitor instead.
  12. First thing I would do is to try to boot without the graphic card. Use the video out from your motherboard.
  13. Depends on what you are going for. The CPU is going to hold you back on getting a more consistent 144 fps on battlefield 4. If you are going for that then the 1080 is not overkill, no need to regret your purchase based on that(it being defective though is).
  14. You should probably uninstall your GPU drivers then reinstall them. Also get MSI afterburner and adjust the fan settings as necessary.
  15. Never used it. I'm pretty sure the soundblaster app would not work with it since it is only a bluetooth amp(doesn't have a dac). It looks easier to lose but has a clip and a back/forward/pause/play buttons so there is definitely trades off here and there. Note that the volume knob on the e5 isn't really a con since you can remove it fairly easily and could also reinsert it back in (forgot if it was glued in there or not).
  16. I personally use a Soundblaster e5 using Bluetooth when on the move and direct usb connection when not. The sound quality is meh(not impressed), the volume knob is too sensitive(It would randomly increase volume when I sit down sometimes)and it annoyed me to the point that I took it out and now turn the medal top instead. Its pretty warm when in use, and the first one I had the battery died 3 months in but I was under warranty and got a new one(took them 2-3 weeks) and now I had it for about 10 months now without issue. The noise floor/ static noise is noticeable when no music is on when the volume is cranked up high. Even with all of those negative experiences I would still use it over the Fiio e11. It annoyed me when my phone look like a c4 with the Fiio e18 strapped on. Having your phone free from all that clutter of wires and bulkiness was great. The Soundblaster e5 has more customization with the soundblaster app(a lot of it is a gimmick/ still fun though). That Fiio micro USB to micro USB cable freaken breaks all the time costing me 5$ replacing it (to be fair, I work my equipment hard) Also the convenience that I have both my tablet and my phone connected via Bluetooth was a plus. These are my experiences with the portable amp/dac I have. I guess its worth mentioning that I use Senheniser HD 700 and Westone W40.
  17. Go for the i3 6100 instead if your gaming. Also you get a better upgrade path in the future. http://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/yBNh3F
  18. I guess you could task manager for CPU. Use MSI Afterburner to check GPU usage.
  19. I am going to assume that the CPU is bottlenecking your GPU. Even though game do use multiple cores, single threaded performance is usually the most important factor and the second, third and fourth cores (most of the time) are not carrying as much load. The reason why your CPU usage is around 50 percent is because the 1-2 cores on your amd phenom ii x4 b95 are probably being pushed at its limit. Edit: What are your laptop specs? Also try reinstalling GPU drivers.
  20. Ehh... I didn't have any issues when pairing my 144 Freesync monitor with my 60 hz TV and or 60hz drawing monitor. You should be fine.
  21. Since you just built your computer, did you update your bios and windows? Did you install the most recent NVIDIA drivers for your GPU? Also what percentage is the GPU/CPU usage when playing?
  22. Does the problem persist when in safe mode? When did this problem start occurring? Did you install or update anything around that time frame?
  23. Depends on how limited the router is(what router is it). Does it support 5GHz and 2.4GHz networks? You could try utilizing Quality of service (QoS) to set priority for your game. Also is it just your brother youtube that is throttling you or everything in general?
  24. What router and provider you have? What is the download and upload of your internet?
