Putting it in a different pcie slot seems to have fixed it. So will I just have to keep it there or is there a way to sort it out?
-
Unfortunately it still won't boot into windows whilst plugged into gpu, the overclock is still definitely applied as the fans are going much faster that they would before.
-
Yeah that makes sense, I'll give it a shot, thank you!

So am I screwed? I bought this second hand along with a psu, cooler, and ram off a guy on DoneDeal (Irish version of Craigslist/generic buy and sell website) and everything except the gpu came with boxes and packaging and stuff, so I don't think I can RMA the card. I've had this for a few weeks now and everything has been perfect, only since I started to OC it.

Unfortunately I didn't save because I wasn't finished, so there is no profiles. In retrospect I really should have saved at each safe point.

So I was experimenting with my first ever gpu overclock on my MSI Twin Frozr R9 290. Managed to get the core clock to 1115MHz and the memory to 1400MHz stable, so I decide to try the memory at 1450MHz. Unigine lasted about 30 seconds before crashing and then nothing but a black screen. Tried restarting but I couldn't boot whilst gpu was plugged onto display, it worked again after plugging display into motherboard but I have no idea how to change the memory settings back now because all I see in MSI afterburner is the integrated gpu specs. The fans on my gpu still spin so its technically working, but how do I fix this? EDIT: Also can't access the AMD drivers because the gpu isn't plugged in

So yesterday I overclocked for the very first time and got my g3258 to 4.3ghz at 1.255V (nothing crazy I know). I ran prime 95 for 8hours and not a single problem. It idles @30c and under full load it got to 62c. So my question is should I push it further? I tried 4.4 on the same voltage but I got a bluescreen, so I pumped up the voltage to 1.265 and the result. Many say that 1.3V is the "sweet spot" so should I just try out 1.3 and try to get it to 4.6-4.8? Btw my cooler is the 212 evo and my case the Enthoo Pro. Also I recycled two fans from my old 200r and placed them into the top of my Enthoo Pro as intakes, problem is only one spins unless its given a poke or whatever, furthermore HWMonitor doesn't read all the four case fans and for the three it does read it says they are at 0rpm even though they are indeed spinning.(http://gyazo.com/d42681e6b6da64dac1f8f405e146d2f7 I presume the one whose rpm it reads is the cpu fan). Any advice on overclocking or solutions to my fan problem?

Has anyone here used it. If so would you recommend it?

So I'm looking for a cheap IPS monitor. I'm not to bothered about response time, it must be at least 23", my budget is about 150 euro (I'm living Ireland but most likely I'll have to buy from the UK). I was looking at the Acer H236HLBID but its not on amazon atm and it was kinda overpriced when it was in stock ( like £200 wtf?). I was looking also at this http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00BDBWE0Y/ref=gno_cart_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE any opinions, looks solid enough to me. Any response would be greatly apprecieted

So my brother is building a PC for Christmas, I will provide him with the cpu, mobo, and case (x4 750k, fm2+ gigabyte board, and 200r). But my question is what gpu should he get? In my system atm I have a r9 270, should I get him one as well so he can go crossfire when I upgrade? (I know its better to have 1 expensive gpu rather that 2 cheap gpus but one he will get for free). Should he get an r7 260x? (btw 2gb version is more or less the same price as the 270 atm on amazon). Or do I avoid team red altogether and go with a 750ti? Any help would be appreciated BTW I live in Ireland so I will be buying from either overclockers (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/) or amazon (http://www.amazon.co.uk/).
