  1. Hi everybody I am currently planning out a upgrade to my pc since im still running my i7 2700k.. ^^ This is the outline of my build so far CPU : i7-8700k Mobo: Msi Z370 sli plus Ram: Hyperx 2x8 gb 2666mhz PSU Evga supernova 750W G3 I am however not quite sure about if the mobo is alright in this context , and i am not sure either if its worth it to go for 3000 mhz ram Any thoughts are welcome, since im not as updated on the market today as i have been I am not gonna be overclocking this imediately since i've only got a hyper evo 212. But i will deffinitely look into once i get money to upgrade my cooling abit Thanks in advance
  2. well the 6600k is 286 dollars and the 7600k is 322
  3. Hmm no i havnt. here in denmark the 7700 is almost 50% more, however the 7600 k only 10% more expensive. The build is mainly gonna be used for gaming , so i wouldnt think it would be a major improvement on that front, but i could be wrong?
  4. Oki , great to hear the motherboard is alright No Cooler and storage is sorted, just felt like it wasn't very important for the post since my main concern was if the motherboard would do, however i am going for the good old Hyper 212 evo, and then just a 1 tb blue WD for a start
  5. Heyo guys. Im writing because i'm about to put build together very soon. I am currently planning what parts to get etc. these are the main parts that i've decided on so far: CPU: i5-6600k RAM: HyperX Furry DDR4 2133Mhz 8gb GPU: MSI GTX 970 (reusing from older build) PSU; EVGA SuperNova G2 650W MB:Asus Z170-P I am pretty confident that it will work out pretty nicely, however i'd like to be sure that the mobo can stand up to the rest of the parts, and that there isn't anything im missing, since its one of the cheaper if not the cheapest mobo of the z170 line from asus. what are your thoughts ?
  6. Hello everyone, im writing here to seek a bit of advice. The situation is that my cousins pc has been having issues the last couple of months, sudden shutdowns, problems booting etc. . But just recently he could conclude that the pc' seems almost entirely dead, it is a 6 year old Acer predator computer with a i7 2600. He has upgraded PSU and GPU to a Corsair Cx500 and a MSI GTX 970. As it is now his pc, will not boot, however sometimes he will see the led's on his GPU turning on for a split second when plugging the PSU cord in to the socket. I am therefore gonna help him building a new pc, where we are gonna use his current GPU, however i am not sure whether it would be a good idea to reuse the power supply?. What are peoples thoughts on this? I myself would never dare reusing a PSU from a systems who just recently died and also have had wierd shutdowns and booting issues, but maybe i am over cautious?. I would like to do the paper clip test on the PSU, however my cousin lives quite far away and probably wont be able to do it on his own. Thanks in advance

  8. Okay - so ill just have to get a replacement then , right ? ^^
  9. Hi everybody - i just got a brand new WD 1tb blue hdd for christmas. however i have quite a lot of trouble setting it up. At first i couldnt even install the driver properly (u know - the part where you choose either GPT or MBR) since it kept saying "cyclic redundancy error". I somehow managed to "fix" that by using another sata port on the mobo. However i cant create a partition. It fails with "formatting was not executed". And says that the drive is 931.39gb RAW instead of NTFS The drive does show up in windows explorer/my computer , but is not accesible I´ve even tried to do a slow formatting of the drive -had it stand there for 8 hours - didnt finish. So i guess the drive might have been damaged during shipping, and there is noway to fix it? But i dont know ^^ - thats why i hope you could help me I would really appreciate if you guys could help me
  10. OK i fixed it... the screen would stop dissappearing if i turned it off i could then change the setting in multiple screens from "disconnect screen" or something similliar to "Expand dekstop to this screen" or whatever it says and it works
  11. http://i.imgur.com/bVS4gpq.png this is how it looks btw and then the small screen (nr2) which actually is the same model as number 3. It dissappears and then appears with a couple of seconds in between
  12. tried to peform a system reset failed :I
  13. i tried installing new drivers after issue appeared . and i havent touched anything what so ever just turned off my monitors went to work. started them up again and then one of them didnt work
