  1. It is 2 slots but realistically more like 2.5. Asus 1660 Super TUF X3 OC.
  2. I did consider this. Hoping to retain the 3.0 speeds if possible though.
  3. MSI A320M-A PRO MAX. With the only PCI-e slot being used for the GPU which is interfering with the headers I unfortunately don't have much room for PCI-e expansion cards.
  4. Hi all, The USB 3.0 Header is interfering with the GPU's clearance in a build. I've looked into right angled and low profile USB 3.0 Header extenders, and while they may work I'm not certain until I commit to buying them because the case is tight on space. I was wondering if there is any way to plug in a USB 3.0 header elsewhere on the motherboard using a converter or something (perhaps into a SATA port?). Cheers, S
  5. I can't believe I made this mistake. Graphics card is coming today.
  6. Haven't tried that yet. I'll give it a go, ty!
  7. The specs are as follows: CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 Mobo: MSI A320M-A PRO MAX Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3200Mhz 2x8GB PSU: Cooler Master Masterwatt 650W Bronze I'm getting no post to screen. Monitor detects signal but black screen. System powers, LEDs light, CPU fan started, system fans started. System speaker gives 3 beeps for "64k base memory error". I've tested the Corsair RAM on second build and it works fine. Tested HyperX Fury DDR4 3200Mhz 2x8GB on the machine and same error appears. Have reseated all components including CPU. Double checked all motherboard standoff screws are securely screwed and have tried loosening the CPU Cooler in case of motherboard flex. Have been through everything on the Stickied README on No Post and through the same list on Tom's Hardware. Looking for a guiding light and saviour. Regards, S
  8. Hey thanks for your detailed reply. I am currently running an RX 480 so am familiar with AMD drivers generally. I was more asking if the software updates had fixed any crashing issues etc. If I were to get a 5700XT I would be looking at the cheaper cards as it is the top end of my budget. So I was looking at something like the MSI Mech, I did read somewhere that this had some issues with fan curves which is why I was wondering if I should go for a 5700. Thanks for the info about new Navi products, to be honest I just looked into the AMD release cycle and saw it was late 2020 and thought that was too far away to wait for, when are new Navi products launching? Further, I did consider that product launches may be delayed due to the current pandemic and wasn't happy to wait to see the impact - does anyone know of any official comment regarding this from either AMD or Nvidia?
  9. I prefer AMD for there better Linux driver support. Also in my region the 2060 Super starts at the same pricepoint as the 5700XT, correct me if I'm wrong but to me this doesn't seem a good value proposition.
  10. I want 144hz for a reason. I am playing online competitive shooters.
  11. Hey all, I'm currently looking at upgrading to a 1440p high refresh rate monitor. I'm currently using a 60hz Dell U2515H that I really enjoy using. I'm currently looking at these two displays: Acer KG271UA: https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/Monitors/25plus-inch/73145-KG271UA ViewSonic VX2758-2KP-MHD: https://www.pccasegear.com/products/47480/viewsonic-vx2758-2kp-mhd-qhd-144hz-freesync-ips-27in-monitor Here are my questions: As these are more budget oriented monitors in this category I am aware they may have lesser quality panels, how will this compare to my current monitor? Which of the above monitors would you recommend, and why? Currently using a 25" 1440p I am sad to see so many options for 144hz QHD displays being so large, as I enjoy the pixel density of my current setup. Given my concerns and my budget (including availability in Aus), do you have any recommendations for products worth considering? Thank you all for your time.
  12. Hey all, I'm considering a GPU upgrade to a 5700 or 5700 XT. I read (and saw on LTT's video) on launch of the 5700XT that it had some heating issues, running hot up to and over 80 degrees and this causing crashing in games and fans to be very loud. I don't want a card that is unstable and hot and loud and would rather go for a 5700 or another card that's more stable if these issues persist today. Who has a 5700XT can attest to current driver updates and card performance?
  13. So I've recently bought the 30ohm DT770Pro's because I didn't have the budget or the will to invest in a full Amp/DAC system. Upon listening to some songs I notice a small white noise / hum during breaks in songs. I thought perhaps an amp would help and I have the USB Soundcard that comes with the Cloud II's so I thought I'd pair them. This didn't fix the hum so I think it might just be caused by the source of the audio (Spotify) but it does drive the headphones louder. I understand this isn't a high quality soundcard so I was wondering if I was degrading my audio quality at all using it or its fine to use them together? Cheers, S
  14. Hey all, I got my mits on an old rig that someone scrambled together. All the parts should be working but its not booting properly. The components are as follows: - AsRock Z77E-ITX Mobo - Intel i5-2500 - Corsair CX500 - Generic RAM, 2*2GB DDR3 - 500GB Hitachi lpatop drive When I boot it up the psu fan just continuously restarts, with no post. The motherboard Clr CMOS button is also showing up read, not sure if that means anything. There's a possibility the rig was booted with a heat sink sat upon some thermal compound being used as the only CPU cooling, so maybe the CPU is dead? I've not had any past experience with much of this hardware so if anyone could lend some information that might be useful that would be a help. Cheers all, SnowGhost
  15. HyperX Cloud IIs will run you $99 USD at most places, you could pick up a set of the -still formidable - original pair for cheaper.
