ZachtheMan's Achievements

  1. I re-seated the cooler and tightened it with a screwdriver and it seems to be working better. The temps are down to 35-40 idle but are still at 80-90 under full load rendering videos.
  2. Oh, I forgot to mention that the mounting screws seems a little off, the block does make contact with the cpu but when I put it on i had to not fully screw the mounting screws in then attach the block and the thumbscrew, then screw the mounting screws into the MB and then screw the thumbscrews in to apply appropriate pressure. I have an old Antec liquid cooler i will try later to see if it works better than the H100iGTX to rule out any pump issues.
  3. I just set it to manual with 1.15v and it lower the temps down about 5 degrees at idle and it is sitting at 85 degrees max during a cinebench run. Still warm at idle.
  4. Anyone know how long a corsair RMA takes?
  5. It is about 6 months old and was used that entire period.
  6. So i have mounted it every time it has had new paste applied and made sure it has good contact.
  7. The cooler was used in my last system and its idle temps were fine(25-30 degrees) but it's load temps were extremely high(80-90 degrees). I can hear the pump running but idk if it is working correctly. I have made sure that it is running at 100% speed in the bios.
  8. I just put together a New Build Today with an Intel Core I7 5820k and it is running extremely hot at idle on a H100iGTX. It is sitting at around 60 degrees Celsius at idle and it sits at TJ Max at load and then shuts off due to heat. This chip sits at the same temp whether OCed or not so I have it running at 4.1Ghz at 1.165v (adaptive) Specs: 5820K 32GB of Corsair Vengeance RAM 2666 Asus Sabertooth x99 MB XFX Fury X Phanteks Enthoo Primo Corsair fans in front providing air intake as well as a phanteks 140mm intake on side H100iGTX mounted on top with Noctua industrial fans (I have tried it as an intake and exhaust) I have reapplied thermal paste twice and cleaned thoroughly in between applications and it made no difference. The cooler is on finger tight and I have tried less and more pressure with no change. The lowest I have seen the processor sit was 42 degrees and that was after it sitting off for a hour. It sits at 55-60 degrees at idle and 65-70 degrees during light load (10-20% usage) I have had the fans on max the entire time (and they are loud). I am getting kinda desperate as i need this machine to video edit and my old rig is dissembled. PLS HELP!
  9. I have an ITX as i said in my original post
  10. To be honest I hope the Fury X kills the titan x with the right drivers cause It may accelerate pascal. BTW Thanks for the suggestions I will wait for a while however my 780ti is already on ebay.
  11. I have been gaming on 4k for about 9 months now and have been using GTX 780Ti GHZ Edition. This GPU is TERRIBLY under powered for my needs and is going to be upgraded. I was wondering what GPU I should go with as I can only go with one since I'm using a Corsair 380T. I am not going to "Fanboy" on either brand however I'm just looking for suggestions. I have seen that the fury x and 980ti are trading blows but I just wanted to get another perspective. Thanks Zach
  12. I am very new to developing and I was wondering how I should build a basic scorekeeping app. I am a trap shooter and I have been needing an app for my phone so that I can help myself get better by tracking my averages, and compiling my scores intro spreadsheets. I need to develop an app that can run on android and IOS 8 so that my team can use it. My questions are: What programming language (Java or Objective C, ETC), sources for said programming language or languages, and some sample code if you know anything. I would like this to be able to upload spreadsheets or have a database accessible from a PC or online for all scores. This would allow things liek competitions to happen and could be adapted to other things besides trap shooting. Thanks, Zach
  13. I have an h50 from an old pc that had a 980x in it that i plan on using.
  14. Hello, I recently purchased a NZXT Kraken G10 as it was on sale on black Friday and i had an extra liquid cooler to use on my gpu. I have a gigabyte 780ti GHZ edition and it seems to run around 75-80*c when under load(stock windforce cooler) before I went on with installing it I'm just checking to see if the fan will be enough for the vrm and vram cooling. I asked the nice man at micro center and he said it would be ok, but with all of the negative reviews on vrm cooling and the fact that this card is overvolted stock with dual 8pin pci-e connectors, I'm just making sure before i put my $700 gpu on the line. Please leave suggestions on vrm heat sinks if i need any and also can i get a suggestion on thermal paste. Thanks, ZachtheMan btw this gpu uses Japanese capacitors if that matters
