Lucas1727's Achievements

  1. I did some FTP transfers at only 5mb/s transfers as well, sucks a bit, although i transferred some files via team viewer and it manage to keep a stable 35mb/s. So don't exactly know whats going on here?
  2. Both computers are directly connected to the same router via ethernet so no switch is involed, my cpu usage stays fairly normal being < 10% when transferring files over the network on my 2500K. I have 12gb or ram and the usage is at 35% idling and transferring data, moving folders with lots of files slows the speed down even more as usual, and any other type of files don't go any faster than 5.2mb/s. Ill plug a memory stick into my router and do some FTP transfers to see what speed im able to get
  3. My internet speeds at home aren't particularly fast, but being in university I was able to get up to 80Mbps download despite my LAN transfers being slow at 5.2Mb/s. This screenshot is my current internet
  4. Both systems say 1.0 Gbps in Network and Sharing Centre
  5. So for the past few weeks my file transfer across the LAN from my desktop to other computers has grinded to a hault transferring at only 5.2mb/s, this started happening randomly and only seems to happen when transferring with my desktop. All other computers on the network transfer at normal speeds, I dont know why i am getting such slow speeds as I used to be able to transfer at 125mb/s when on gigabit Ethernet with my desktop and my laptop. I have tried this with multiple router's and they all give the same result, so what could be restricting my transfer speeds? All systems are running windows 10, my desktop's motherboard is a P8Z68-V LX and has a SSD, so storage shouldn't be an issue.
  6. I connected the macbook to my wireless hotspot and it worked fine, just doesnt seem to like connecting to my router!
  7. Is the IP i put not just for the Local Are Network and not my actual public internet IP?
  8. So I'm fixing a Macbook Pro for my girlfriend and i've just reinstalled Yosemite onto the Macbook Pro 2010 model. Everything works fine on the laptop except the wifi.... When I seem to turn the laptop on despite the wifi being ON/OFF every wireless and wired device connected to my router just loses connection and I'm not even able to access the routers settings through 192.168.1.***! As soon as the laptop turns on the internet cuts out and as soon as it turns off it will work fine after 1 minute or so! It doesn't seem to interfere with the hotspot on my phone just the Belkin N Wireless Router (F5D8636-4 v1) What is causing this weird phenomenon? And how can I get the laptop to working order before it seems to explode everything, thanks!

  10. I have an Acer Aspire V Nitro VN7-791G laptop and i want to be able to adjust my core clock and memory clock of my GPU, but MSI afterburner can't read the GPU's core clock but can read the memory clock in hardware monitoring to the right on afterburner. The core and memory clock cant be adjusted and just have the value +0 on them which isn't what my desktop does as it shows the clock speed. When I try to adjust the values from +0 to any other value like +20 and I click apply it will just revert to +0. Why isn't my core clock being read? Why cant I over clock? (I know i shouldn't do it on a laptop but i'm not going to try to tress the GPU) Ive tried reverting Nvidia display drivers, different versions of afterburner, reinstalling it and EVGA over clocking application just crashed when opening. The picture below shows the values given by the GPU from after burner and GPU-Z when running furmark
  11. I have an Acer Aspire V Nitro with GTX 860m 2GB as well similar to Weyromon and im having the same problems as them with msi afterburner as well as programs live riva tuner statistics server on screen display not being able to read my core clock and just shows 540mhz even when its not, anyone have a fix or reason to these problems?
