  2. Hi there, I am planning to watercool my whole system but right now I do not have a lot of money to watercool my system. I also need my current cooler to be used for another pc in the house so I do need a CPU cooler so here is what my plan is: First of all I found the Alphacool Eisenberg Solo CPUblock/Pump/Res combo for only €40,-. With that I am going to use a 420mm Phobya G-Changer V.2 Full copper (60mm) radiator and connecting them with masterkleer tubing PVC 11/8 and these compression fittings. This total build would cost me €140 right now. After 3 months I will replace the Alphacool Eisenberg Solo and add the NexXxoS 240 D5/xt kit to my system and placing the 240mm rad in the bottom. Also I will add 2x Alphacool NexXxos GPX 970 M03 with their SLI bridge. This would cost me around €400,- So in total I am only "wasting" €40 euros with this temporary setup. So what do you think about my build? Do you know better alternative parts? My setup: I7 4790K Dual Gtx Gigabyte G1 Gaming 970 Gskill RipjawsZ 2400mhz 32GB Asus RoG Hero VII EVGA Supernova 1000P2 Phanteks Enthoo Luxe (love this case) with: Tripple Noctua NF-A15 in the top Dual Phanteks PH-F140SP in the front BitfenixSpectre Pro in the back Dual Corsair AF 120 in the bottom (will remove them for the 240mm rad with other fans)
  3. Hi there, Last year I decided to finally build my high end pc that I always have wanted. And then I decided to opt for a second gtx 970 instead of watercooling. But right now I am thinking about watercooling my pc anyway. Though because of the money I already have spent on the other parts I want to not go fully rampage without looking at the price tag. So I kinda wanted to keep 400-500 max. Right now I already have 3 noctua-nf a15 in the top so I want to add a 420mm Rad to the top. But I am not sure about the other parts. I have found two options right now: Buy an Swiftech H220x which would cost €185,- including the tube and http://www.swiftech.com/G1/4-ADAPTER.aspx. OR buy an Alphacool NexXxoS Cool answer 240 D5/XT which is €228,99. The Swiftech would go into the front of the case and because of that I also need to buy a HDD 5.25 bay mod and the Alphacool NexXxoS Cool Answer 240 D5/XT would go into the bottom. The question is: is the €45,- extra worth it? Do you guys know a better parts list maybe? Right now I have this: Alphacool NexXxos XT45 Full Copper 420mm Rad: http://www.aquatuning.nl/waterkoeling/radiatoren/radiatoren-actief/12885/alphacool-nexxxos-xt45-full-copper-420mm Alphacool NexXxoS GPX Nvidia Geforce 970 M03 http://www.aquatuning.nl/waterkoeling/gpu-waterkoelers/gpu-compleet-cooler/18965/alphacool-nexxxos-gpx-nvidia-geforce-gtx-970-m03-mit-backplate-schwarz 4x 13/10mm compression fitting 90 deg. revolvable g1/4 http://www.aquatuning.nl/waterkoeling/aansluitingen/compressie-fittingen/1310mm/13968/13/10mm-compression-fitting-90-revolvable-g1/4-compact-matte-black 2x 13/10mm (10x1,5mm) compression fitting G1/4 http://www.aquatuning.nl/waterkoeling/aansluitingen/compressie-fittingen/1310mm/13967/13/10mm-10x1-5mm-compression-fitting-g1/4-compact-matte-black My PC specs: I7 4790K Dual Gtx Gigabyte G1 Gaming 970 Gskill RipjawsZ 2400mhz 32GB Asus RoG Hero VII EVGA Supernova 1000P2 Phanteks Enthoo Luxe (love this case) with: Tripple Noctua NF-A15 in the top Dual Phanteks PH-F140SP in the front BitfenixSpectre Pro in the back Dual Corsair AF 120 in the bottom Also I would like to OC my Processor but OC'ing the GPU's is optional
  4. Maybe a little bit more convenient than my full tower pc that I use as a Media PC.^^
  5. What I have read about blower in SLI it is better in small cases that have bad airflow and a big case with good airflow is better with good cooling graphic cards. For me, I have a Phanteks Enthoo Luxe so I think ACX coolers are better for me. Not 100% Sure about Acx vs blower in SLI though.
  6. Just watched a Linus video about the 970 Strix and when I look back at this post I see already 4 useful comments, love this site and community. So yeah I was also thinking about the 970 SLI, though I'm not sure about the Asus Stirx vs Gigabyte G1 Gaming. How's the noise of the G1 gaming and is it alot louder than the Strix? And how well is the Strix in overclocking? Power consumption is not really a problem for me. Raka Edit: also here in The Netherlands the price of these two are the same.
  7. Hello, I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card and monitor and I'm probably going to buy a Asus RoG Swift, though I'm not sure about the graphics card necessary to run the monitor well. So my question is: Do I need a 970 (Single or SLI) or Gtx 980 to run games on High/Ultra? Also I'm not 100% sure about which brand I need to choose. Personally I got bad experience with having received two bad MSI cards before I got a working one, so I don't prefer going with MSI. Raka
  8. I would have preferred the Kuhler 1250 but the Accent lighting kit is more led's around my pc, led's make my pc look cool and that's just has to be important.
  9. Just love the how the fans of the extreme look like one big propeller and also the backplate of both Omega and Extreme are awesome! Preformance wise, having "the fastest single gpu gaming experience on planet earth" is also a positive factor.
  10. I just want to ask you for all the help you gave to me and lots of other people. You deserve 1 million subscribers. I remember the first time that I builded a pc (was a pretty bad one) that saw your video with you installing the ssd of your cameraman with double sided tape on the top of the pc. And I actually did it myself too because I didn't had the space and I didn't knew a lot about pc's anyway. Now 4 years later I decided to build a new pc and needed a lot of informatio. You gave that information with your awesome videos and they're also very funny to watch. Also when I joined this forum I was really surprised about the comunity here.(League of Legends player so know how horrible a community can be at sometimes) It's a really great one. So I just want to thanks you for all your great help and I hope that I can enjoy watching your videos for another 4 years. Yours sincerely Raka
  11. Hi right now I'm looking at the Swiftech Helix 120mm it's not very expensive and I have heard good reviews about it. But I would like to know your opinion about them. Also I probably wouldn't be able to buy the graphics card before Christmas anyway and I can always just buy the reference card with a waterblock like you said (also the 660ti can handle most games on high on a 1440p monitor). And I realized that the ASUS isn't worth it when I'll be watercooling it anyway so I guess that the only preapplied water-cooled gpu is the EVGA Hydrocopper. Not sure about that correct me if I'm wrong.
  12. Would be appreciated. Thanks for all the help
  13. @Maxwit44 Yeah I also noticed the problem with placing the reservoir on the 3.5 drive Bay. So I'll go with the one near the expansion slot. Furthermore I want the 240mm radiator on the bottom and the 360mm on top. Both with their tubing inputs at the front. The loop would be going from the resevoir-pump to the 240mm rad at the bottom. Then route the tubing through the back of the case to the 360mm rad to the cpu to the mobo to the gpu back to the reservoir. Should I do this or the other way around? Also is 360mm + 240mm really enough or would adding a 140mm radiator on the rear be better?
  14. I just watched those videos and yes they are really helpful. That alphacool won't fit because the phanteks enthoo luxe only will fit a rad up to 420mm. But I got the idea to buy a 380mm set and just add a 240mm radiator. Will this work? I've found two sets and I don't know which one is better as the have the same pump I think. Which one is better? XSPC Set RayStorm D5 EX360: http://www.caseking.de/shop/catalog/Wasserkuehlung/Interne-Wasserkuehlungen/XSPC-Wasserkuehlung-Set-RayStorm-D5-EX360::21108.html?shopgate_redirect=1 Or Alphacool NexXxoS Cool Answer 360 D5/UT which is basically the one you linked me but with a 360 rad instead of a 480. EDIT: I just found out that I would never be able to use a dual 5.25 Bay Reservoir, because I have a RoG Front Base dual Bay and the phanteks only has 3 5.25 bays. So I have made my own build what do you think about it? And in the videos you linked to me they added a thing that made draining the loop easier but I couldn't find it. Could you give me an example of that?
  15. Ah okay I'll guess I can hop my budget a 100 bucks and make it €450.
