GissumGreve's Achievements

  1. I have the i7-4790K that supports 16 PCIe 3rd gen lanes in a Maximus VII Hero motherboard with the Z97 chipset. Currently I use the PCIe lanes for my GTX 980 and my Intel 750 SSD. I am considering buying 2 GTX 1080s. Will my PC support that many PCIe lanes? Will it be necessary to move the SSD up to the top PCIe lane (I think 1st and 2nd are the only gen 3 lanes) for it to not lose performance?
  2. Will a Skylake support more PCIe lanes. In Intel Ark it seems an Intel i7-6700K will also only support 16 PCIe 3.0 lanes.
  3. Hi guys, I've got an Intel i7-4790K which has a maximum of 16 PCIe lanes. I've also got a GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 980 G1 Gaming and an Intel 750 SSD which takes PCIe 3.0 x8 and PCIe 3.0 x4. I would like to run a surround setup with 3 screens and therefor add 2 screens. But I don't think my GPU could take Battlefield like that so I would have to add a graphics card more. But then I would have 2 GPUs needing at least 8 lanes each (as far as I understand) and a PCIe SSD taking 4 additional lanes adding up to 20 lanes which my CPU doesn't support (as I understand). Would I have to upgrade CPU and therefor also motherboard and RAM too in order to add a graphics card?
  4. You seem pretty convincing, I may have misunderstood the video. The price difference is quite a lot in Denmark too. I have no experience with G-Sync and therefor I don't know if it's worth it. I agree the ASUS looks better. I guess I might wait a little and see if anything better will show up soon enough. It's not like super urgent anyway. Thank you (y)
  5. Hello guys, I'm thinking of upgrading my monitor from the ASUS VG248QE to either Acer Predator XB270HU or ASUS MG279Q. I just play a few games being Counter Strike, Battlefield and Assetto Corsa. I use Nvidia GPU's so I would benefit from the G-Sync in the ASUS moniter, but it's more expensive. Also, I've heard from NCIXs youtube channel, that colors are better on the ASUS. Is the Acer worth the extra expense, or should I go with the cheaper ASUS? Does anyone have some experience with either one? Thank you
  6. It's a tool, and when I try to run it, it just installs Windows 10 again. Doesn't give me the chance to choose the drive I want it on.
  7. Hello, I just previously had Windows 7 on my SSD RAID then installed an Intel 750 SSD. Now I downloaded Windows 10, which now boots from the RAID array. I want it to boot as fast as possible, but it don't know how to move Windows to the PCIe SSD. Can someone please help me and tell how I move Windows 10 and make my PC boot from the Intel 750?
  8. Hi guys, I just got my cooler master nepton 240m for my Intel Core i7-4790k, and I want to overclock it, just a snatch. I've never overclocked a CPU before and want to be careful, not overclocking it that much. Can anyone tell me what values to put where in the BIOS? It's an ASUS Maximus VII Hero. My room is normally around 24-25 degrees celsius (76 degrees Fahrenheit). I'd be happy if someone could say what to do. Thank you
  9. This is not very important to me. The important thing to me is the feel of the keyboard. I like to have the full size, but it isn't needed. Good luck everyone

  11. Cool of you to give away your personal rig, Linus! Vessel: GissumGreve Video 1: https://www.vessel.com/videos/JemZ8O7Hy (I'd like that GTX Titan X SLI too, if you don't mind) Video 2: https://www.vessel.com/videos/Yj4PbcgKj (It does look like a lot of fun, Luke )

    fps headset

So this might be a cliché, but I'm looking for a headset which will be used for gaming only. Not music. It's likely just gonna be games like CS:GO, Battlefield and CoD. I am thinking of headsets like the Logitech G930/G35 or Razer Tiamat 7.1. What do you guys think?
  13. So my CPU wants me to buy it a propper cooler for it, and I think I've decided to go with the Cooler Master Nepton 240m (since my case doesn't support 140mm fans/radiators) and I think I may want push/pull, so I would use the stock fans to push and the Noctua IndustrialPPC NF-F12 fans as pull. But would I need any addiotional/special screws or would it all fit perfectly together? Would the radiator easily have those 4 fans? Thanks
  14. But somehow my laptop managed to shut down the game immediatly. Was that just luck/magic and can't I make this computer shut it down in an instance with just alt + f4?
