  1. Looks really nice and clean! One thing that stand out is the black sleeved cables on the PCI bundles though, 8pin eps and 24 pin are brighter, which looks really good, too much black in the PCI bundles un my personal opinion.. :)
  2. Ok, thank you again! 3cms :O it surprises me its that much longer, but hopefully I can measure it out so it looks better than my first sleeving attempt.. :) Did you use alot of specialized equipment to make the case?
  3. Thanks for the answer! I have seen this before and have considered something similar, but by using this you have to put the wires trough before putting the pins in the connectors right? And on the 24, did you cut half of the cables longer than the other half becuase of the curve it will have to have to connect to the motherboard?
  4. True and true, it was just a point I think he should be aware of.. :) and a rough nail could pull out a string on paracord too..
  5. Ok wow.. I might just steal your dominator idea by accident.. :P looks promising sofar, like builds with modding!
  6. With the thought and care you put into this I would love to see you make a custom case..! :P Anyways, I really like that someone is doing something other than a two tone colorscheme! really looking forward to see what the colors will look like when its done!
  7. How did you make the cable "clips" and do you have the wires from the 24 pin in a similar clip comming out of the motherboard tray?
  8. I like working with MDPC and I really like the look! I however would like to try using paracord at some point, but probably not in my main gaming rig since I dont know I like the look, kinda looks like shoelace in some pictures. With that said, from what I have heard (think Lutro0 says it in one of his guides) paracord can pretty easily get cought by the pins and pull out a string which messes up the look, also sharp edges in the case could also ruin paracord sleeving. As I said I havent tried paracord so if Im completly wrong someone please correct me! :) If you have the money I would say MDPC :)
  9. What about the wires to the side panel, would be tiresom to have to remove them everytime you have to take the side panel off..? :) What kind of wood btw? Im thinking about making a media pc from "Ipe" a dark brown/redish color..
  10. I dont know if there are any other new, but the performance going from Sandy Bridge E to Ivy Bridge E should only be 10% from what I remember. in a year they release the Haswell E.. now that is interesting! :P
  11. I dont think he can be sure about that, the cpu alone might not pull enough power to make the PSU whine if it is indeed the PSU whining..
  12. hmm.. If you have the chance to either put in another GPU or take your current GPU into another system, then you could try that. The problem is that you might not draw enough power for the PSU to whine if you take out the GPU and only use the GPU from the i5 cpu.. :/
  13. Far Cry 3 Battlefield 3 Planetside 2 (free to play) Civilizations 5 (with add on(s))
  14. is it constant or only when under load? if its constant then try taking out the GPU and using the on chip GPU, if its still there it is probably the PSU.. :)
  15. maybe this.. http://www.ncix.com/products/?sku=82243&vpn=8W-PWM-SPL&manufacture=Swiftech&promoid=1294

    Midi Connectors

I really dont know much about audio connector other than a standard jack connector, but take a look at the Asus Xonar Essence One, from what I can see on pictures on the web it looks similar to what I think midi is.. :) it is external though, but dont think I have seen internal audio cards with that kind of connector, if your mate really wants one he might have to buy some pro audio card...?
  17. The ghost case should support that PSU, but the reason PCpartpicker tells you that might be because the PSU is a little longer than the standard size (at least that what it looks like to me). So the only "problem" is that the PSU migh cover a little bit of the cable routing hole in the buttom of the case. :)
  18. Personally I havent heard that much about Gigabyte, but I had a 580 from MSI with their twin frozr cooler, and that thing was a beast.. :) You dont have access to maybe the german or british amazon stores? :)
  19. Yes, the PSU should be sufficient, but maybe not if you want to run SLI in the future though.. The hard drive is ok, no problem.. But I would suggest getting and SSD for windows and programs. Something like the Samsung 840 120GB ssd might be worth looking at for you! :) EDIT: dang, didnt see that you had an SSD.. then its all good, that 60gb is a little small in my opinion though, but it should be enough (unless you are using it for cache, then its all good!)
  20. 7950 is a really good bet if you dont have to run everything maxed out! :) The never settle bundle just makes the value even better! (just be sure to get the card from a retailer that actually has the never settle bundle with the AMD cards, if you are in doubt just email the retailer!)
  21. I wont say stock cooler, it looks great but doesnt perform as good as other coolers do. I would go for the EVGA ACX version if I wasnt watercooling mine when I get it. I dont know if the cost/performance is good enough to justify it for you though.. I know it would for me if I didnt WC.. :) EDIT: Sorry I didnt read everything, I dont know how good the windforce is, but generally I would always go for the aftermarket cooler..
  22. You could look at the primochill tubing, it can be bent, how and how difficult it is I dont know.. :) http://www.primochill.com/index.php?dispatch=categories.view&category_id=111 If I had to build this I would go with one loop either one or two pumps and then the primochill tubing (if I had to go with acrylic tubing though)
