  1. I got the Imatin F200 +Bio flash drive 1GB model and as for part of the assignment he used bit locker to lock an already encrypted section of the drive. Now it will still read out finger scan, but it won't for takes 5+ minutes to load up the drive. We have the management code, and know the password to get in it. How can we get into the drive so we can remove bitlocker or how to do a reset of it. There is NO information on that we care about.
  2. Like the title says this is for a class that we need to do research for if you don't know how to do it off the top of our heads. The instructions basically say get this done correctly by any means necessary. What I need to do is to have a windows expand to two monitors when I or the instructor hit maximize. The computer we are using is a Dell XPS 7780 with a GT 720 in it. Thanks in advance for any help
  3. I'm wanting to start my own NAS system. I already have the system and I just need the hard drive. I'm just wondering what is the largest the ASUS CM6850 mobo can support. Edit: Thanks for the help. I saw some post on amazon about making sure the motherboard was new enough to recognize the size of it. I just wanted to make sure it would work before dumping money into it.
  4. I wanted to do a clean install of windows 10 on my laptop so I made the install disk and installed it as normal. When it asked for my COA I entered the Windows 7 HP I had on my laptop before hand. Thinking that since I reserved my copy of it that the COA would work. It did not. So I reinstalled windows 7 to make sure I reserved it and now even though I installed all the updates and drivers the windows 10 app icon won't show up. I can go the the system32 folder and see that it is installed, when I try to manually luanch it nothing happens
  5. I think I got the same one it might be the g2 but I like the one I have.
  6. Here are some ideas you can try. Most of this is just trying to emanate as many factors as possible. So if you don't need it to run your computer I would unplug it. Down below are just a few ideas of what I would check - don't have any thumb drives plugged in, including any external hard drives. - Did you try and toggle the fast boot option? - Check the BIOS chip and look for physical damage. - Also double check the BOIS setting and make sure your CPU is set to run at factory settings. - Check the boot order - unplug all sata ports that are not needed for boot. If all else fails and you still don't have any answers you could re-flash the BIOS and hope that fixes it.
  7. I play every one in while. Usually friendly(pretty much always)
  8. Get a new CPU cooler. When it arrives make sure to clean the cpu really good, to get ride of any of the old thermal compound.
  9. Yes thank you, when I was looking for it I must have missed it.
  10. Its about time. http://www.theverge.com/2015/2/4/7977569/its-official-the-fcc-will-seek-to-reclassify-the-internet-as-a-utility Keep in mind this won't take effect imminently the FCC still has to vote on it. The vote is going to be on Feb. 26 --As some one already pointed out this is a repost. When I was looking to see if this has been posted I must have missed the articles stating this.
  11. some random keys on my laptop just quit working, and instead of putting another $100 in to replace the keyboard in my ASUS G74SX I though about building my own computer, now this isn't my first build, but it is my first build that I will be sleeving the cables of my PSU, and high end one as well. I just wanted your opinion on how well this would do. http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Raw_Venus/saved/m6GnTW This is going to be used for mainly gaming, with some video editing when I feel like it. I already bought a 23" 1080P screen from AOC off of amazon. I curious of the GTX970 will be able to run three of these monitors with decent frame rates with surround turned on. If not will it run two with one being used to play the game and the other used to display info about the game being played or a stream going on? Also about how much para-cord would I need to sleeve the 24pin the 8pin and the graphics card power cables? EDIT: I was planning on taking the SSD out of my laptop any putting it my new system and a 4TB WD Green drive I currently use for more mass storage.
  12. I would go with this: http://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-GA-Z97MX-Gaming-Motherboard-i5-4690K-Processor/dp/B00L3OO9TA/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1419792405&sr=8-3&keywords=4690k It is the current cpu form intel and it is not that much more expensive then the 4570 you want and it is bundled with the G45 from MSI Also may want to look at your case as this is a ATX motherboard and the case is a mATX case(I think) meaning the mother board will not fit inside of the case
  13. Connecting two routers will do nothing really. It will just create another subnet for your computers to use. This is good if you have a computer that you think has a virus on it and it still needs access to the internet for updates and stuff of that nature as it will help protect the other computers you have an your main network. If you need more ports I would look into getting a switch and connecting it that way. As for 10base2 it uses coax cables and special connectors. 10base2 uses what is called a bus topology where you have one main line and lots of what looks like a 'T' connector that goes to the computer/device you want. This isn't much used anymore because of the main line breaks or fails for what ever reason then it is taking everything on the terminated side down with it. So that movie that Bob was working on and was movieing to the server is now gone. The star topology is where each device has its own cable going back to the router or the switch and is currently the most widely used because if one line breaks then just that device that it was connect to is going down
  14. That might be true... but I want to make it as hard for them as possible to get at my home router to protect my data even if it is hours and hours of Twitch and You Tube videos.
