Hey Senne2150,I was on the boat with u in need of a IPS monitor around 24 inch with nice modern slim bezel . And dell and lg were the two options I came down as well. And I actually pulled the trigger on the lg.few cons on the LG IMHO First is price , currently the lg is around 219 plus tax whereas the dell comes around 290~350. Which is significantly more , second being slight faster respond time from lg, nice looking stand which is subjective ,and I actually spent few hours today research for the right monitor and came across that "all IPS panels are manufactured by LG"quote from internet. And the LG actually comes Pre calibrated as well as per description. And also quote from internet that te dell u2414 actually uses similar panel as the LG. Few cons from lg is that u can't do any height adjustment, or rotate it 90' for vertical view. And the stand looks a bit more sturdy .if you are into duo monitor set up there is a 23 inch version of the lg on sale right now for $169.model 23MP75HM. Hope this help =)
