  1. Today when I woke my computer from sleep, one of my monitors blacked out and said "no signal". After a quick reboot only one of them were turning on and the other two had "no signal" messages. I went into nvidia control panel and tried to reenable the monitors, i get two of them up and running, but when selecting the third monitor the two that are working properly freeze up completely(They both return to normal after replugging the dp cables or after a reboot) I started switching around the cables on my gpu and all of the ports on the gpu seem to work fine. The really weird part is the fact that unplugging one of the working monitors makes the dark one work again, so i currently can only use 2 monitors at a time no matter which of the 3 ports on the gpu i'm using This weirdness began after waking my computer from sleep. I've tried rebooting multiple times and I have updated the gpu drivers after the issue popped up without any change. I have 3x 24 inch 1080p monitors and all of them are connected directly through displayport (no adapters), switching around the cables does not move the issue to other monitors. I've been using this setup for 3 months without previous issues. The main issue seems to be with my 1st monitor (left most), when only the left and middle monitor is connected both of them work, but when i try to reconnect my 3rd monitor, the 1st one goes dark and states "no signal". If I then unplug the middle or 3rd monitor again, the 1st one comes back on
  2. mhm, Yeah that wont be cheap. But thanks for the recomendation
  3. So i have this dilemma while trying to pick monitors for a future multimonitor setup. I currently have one benq xl2420z, which is amazing for fps games(mainly playing cs:go). But thats about where it ends, the color reproduction is awfull, and it kind off makes many otherwise beautifull games look dull and less realistic, titles like;Watch dogs, Tomb raider, Hitman: absolution, and with many new games coming out; Fallout 4, just cause 3, need for speed rebooted etc. I have also considered just buying 3 new monitors with better color reproduction. to enjoy the games listed above better. Should i opt to buy either one or two more of the benq xl2420z monitors and have a cool 3D surround setup(with bad colors), or go with 3 new, better looking panels i can use for every non-fps game i want to enjoy.
  4. Hi i am trying to find out if i should upgrade to the new 900-series nvidia cards. I currently have a Evga gtx 780 sc w/acx 3gb card, the reason i want an upgrade is that i can't run 3D with full settings on my current monitor. Additionally, i want to upgrade to a multi-monitor setup in the near future. Im already running out of vram in certain titles. So, should i buy another Evga 780(probably used at a reduced price) Or try and make it a bit more "future proof" and just sell my current card and upgrade? And if so, am i better of waiting for the next major card release from nvidia before i do that?
  5. Sorry that im bringing this old post back up again, i kind of forgot about this whole thing, and just recently grew tired of my backups to take so long. Now to finally put an end to this question and hopefully find the correct answer here is what ive done since my last entry: Completely wiped the disk, benchmarked it, installed all my files and windows 8.1, it has been running on my gaming desktop pc for i guess 6 months now, i have regularly done benchmarks but still with pretty much the same results... Today i also tried it in my laptop, i got a bit higher read and write speeds, but (with at least write speeds) still far from whats advertised with the disk Benchmark from dekstop pc: Benchmark from Hp laptop:
  6. Ok, i will have to see what happens
  7. Ok, good to know, thanks!
  8. Hi, i have tried to find a post about this for a while now, but can only find ones where the question regards switching to a new computer, not to another one then back again, so here goes. I need to test my ssd drive in another computer to see if its faulty, now i have installed windows 8.1 on this drive, and the only other "decent" computer i have is a windows 7 laptop, can i put the windows 8.1 ssd drive in my laptop to test it there, or will it try to overwrite data/getcorrupted or just not work at all (considering missing drivers and such )
  9. Yes the radiator is in the small case, the 90mm fan is in the front in a special bracket made for it, i cant put anything else there so why remove it? XP as or the radiator, it needs to be pushing out air as the screws that hold the radiator in place are so short that i couldnt fit the dust filter in between(unfortuantely...) I have played around with my fan setup today, and i found a setup wich made my pc a lot quieter,(thought i will have to dobule check that i plugged everything in tomorrow becausee i dont have nearly the same noise emission as earlier today ) However i will have to change my setup further, because i think i currently have negative air pressure. I will try benchmarking tomorrow and post results just for funzies
  10. Well the fan mount for the 92mm (in fornt of the haf stacker 915r) only supports 92mm, so i would rather keep it there than throw it away I have installed fan xpert only, which seems like its working partly. Now to fully be able to controll the fans myself i do indeed need to invest in a fan controller of some sort as fan xpert only alows a minimum of 40% fanspeed, which still is too much for my taste. My original issue in this post is now answered i guess, so thanks for all the help!
  11. Well unfortunately my pc keeps freezing and crashing with ai suite, displaying error messages as "overclocking failed" and such, it seems it makes my system very unstable... I still dont think it gives me the full controll id like to have of my fans though, i can set it to increase and decrease fanspeed by the temperature yes, but the lowest i can set my fans in ai suite is 40% which still doesnt turn them off..
  12. I have 2x 140mm cooler master jetflo`s on the radiator(they came with the cooler), 2x 120mm CM jetflo`s in the front, (bought seperately) then 1x 92mm in the front that came with the pc and one 140mm in the back which came with the pc. Now as ive heard many say, "just ditch the 90mm its noisy and doesnt move much air" i have a limiter on that, so thats not the source of the noise im hearing. My case is a Haf stacker 935 so i guess its not actually built to be quiet but still... My pump is connected to the cpu_fan socket. and the rest of my fans are connected to the motherboards cha_fan 1, 2, 3 etc.
